In EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Team, open your squad, select the player marked with a flashing bandage, then use Actions → Apply Recommended Consumable and apply a Player Healing item. This item-based process comes from current third-party guides; EA’s available help materials do not confirm the exact menu labels or controls.
How to heal an injured player in Ultimate Team
-
Open Ultimate Team and go to your squad.
-
Look for the injured player’s card. Current third-party guides identify the injury marker as a flashing bandage near the top of the card. FIFPlay’s FC 27 injuries guide describes this marker.
-
Highlight the card and open the player’s Actions menu. One guide gives Square on PlayStation and X on Xbox as example controls; follow the prompt shown by your own game and platform. FIFPlay’s guide is the source for those examples.

Select Apply Recommended Consumable, then use a Player Healing item. A guide illustrates an item labeled “+5 All Injuries,” but the wording may vary and is not confirmed by EA. FIFPlay’s guide describes the menu route and example label.

Check the player’s squad card again. The guide says the injury marker should disappear once the injury is cleared.
The healing item is an in-game consumable; no physical product is involved.

What the injury icon means
In Ultimate Team, the third-party guides cited here identify a flashing bandage near the top of the squad card as the injury marker. The marker helps you spot which player needs attention before using a healing item. The specific icon and action wording have not been documented in the EA help materials available for this topic.

Can an Ultimate Team player recover without a healing item?
A current third-party consumables reference says a player may recover naturally after spending the full recovery period in reserves, while a healing item can reduce downtime. EA’s available material does not confirm this Ultimate Team recovery detail, so treat it as third-party guidance. FUTBIN’s consumables reference describes the recovery option.

Ultimate Team injuries are different from Career Mode injuries
Do not apply the Ultimate Team consumable steps to Career Mode. EA describes Career Mode injuries as part of its Match Fitness system: a manager may play a player through a light injury, but doing so risks aggravating it. Medium and severe injuries have recovery periods, and a player can return before all risk has passed. See EA’s FC 27 Career Mode Deep Dive for the official mode-specific details.

EA’s FC 27 support hub is the official help location, but the available material does not document the exact Ultimate Team healing controls described above. The flashing bandage, menu path, and item behavior in this guide are attributed to third-party sources rather than presented as EA-confirmed instructions.
