Thibaut Courtois is the highest-rated goalkeeper in EA SPORTS FC 27 among the players identified in the current ratings sources, with an overall rating of 90. Gianluigi Donnarumma is next at 89, while David Raya and Jan Oblak are tied at 88. Those are base overall ratings—not a definitive answer to which keeper is best for every Career Mode save or Ultimate Team squad.
FC 27’s highest-rated goalkeepers
EA’s indexed FC 27 goalkeeper ratings identify Courtois, Donnarumma and Raya among the top-rated keepers. A separate FC 27 Career Mode list places Oblak ahead of Raya at the same 88 rating, so treat them as tied rather than implying one has a higher overall. EA’s result names Raya among its highest-rated goalkeepers; the ratings below show the displayed figures.

EA’s FC 27 goalkeeper ratings result was indexed with these FC 27 figures, but opening the page returned content labeled FC 26. The figures are also listed by FAFIFA’s FC 27 goalkeeper ratings page, which labels its data “FC 27 · 20 Aug 2026 (upd. 1)” and sorts keepers by overall. Ratings can change, so verify the live listings if you need the latest figures.
How to decide which goalkeeper is best for you
The 90–88 ratings answer a narrow question: who has the highest base overall rating in the sources above? They do not establish the best choice for every mode, budget, or squad. Keep Career Mode player comparisons separate from Ultimate Team card rankings.

Career Mode: weigh potential and cost as well as rating
For a signing, compare overall rating with potential, age, transfer value and wage. FAFIFA’s list includes those fields alongside its rating data, giving you a way to assess immediate quality against long-term suitability and cost. A listed potential is not a guarantee of development in every save, and the best signing depends on your club’s finances and plans.
Ultimate Team: compare the exact card version
Ultimate Team has multiple card versions, so identify the specific card before comparing keepers. FUT.GG’s FC 27 goalkeeper list ranks cards using its own GG Rating and includes standard, special, Hero and Icon cards. It is not an EA official leaderboard or the same thing as a base overall-rating list.

Use the card’s goalkeeper attributes—diving, reflexes, positioning, handling, kicking and reactions—along with height and body type to compare options. A high overall rating is a useful starting point, but it is not evidence that a player will outperform another in your particular team or save. Likewise, a third-party card score is a separate ranking method. No comparative gameplay testing is established here, so the ratings should not be read as a tested performance verdict.

What EA says its FC 27 ratings cover
EA’s FC 27 ratings announcement says the game represents “21,000+ players across 800+ clubs and national teams, 140 stadiums and 35+ leagues.” That is EA’s description of the ratings database’s scale, not independent validation of the ratings themselves.
