The original Dreame L10s Ultra is most compelling in homes with plenty of hard flooring, where its dock can empty dust, refill water, and wash and dry its rotating mop pads while its obstacle handling helps it work around household clutter. RTINGS found good bare-floor performance and very good obstacle handling, but sub-par fine-debris pickup and poor pet-hair pickup on carpet. It is therefore a better fit for mixed or hard-floor homes than for carpet-heavy, pet-hair-heavy ones.
Its dock takes meaningful space, and automation does not remove routine cleaning or replacement-part upkeep. This review covers the original L10s Ultra, not the L10s Ultra Gen 2 or other similarly named models.
What the Dreame L10s Ultra does—and what the dock automates
The L10s Ultra combines a robot vacuum and mop with a multifunction base station. Dreame says its navigation uses an RGB camera and 3D structured light for obstacle-aware mapping and path planning. The robot has two rotating mop pads; Dreame specifies a rotation speed of 180 RPM. When it returns to the base, it lifts the mops, and the dock can wash and hot-air dry them, refill the robot’s water, and collect dust into a bag.
Those functions reduce several repetitive chores, but they do not make the system maintenance-free. The robot and dock still need inspection and cleaning, and consumable parts eventually need replacement.

Dreame also advertises up to 60 days of automatic dust collection. The company describes that as a lab-derived estimate and says the actual duration depends on the environment and use, so it should not be treated as a guaranteed interval. The figures above are from Dreame’s L10s Ultra product page; the page does not state a publication year.
How well does it clean floors and avoid obstacles?
RTINGS’ independent review describes the L10s Ultra as good on bare floors and very good at handling obstacles. It also found a clear weakness on carpet: fine debris pickup was sub-par, and pet-hair pickup was poor. That distinction matters more to a buying decision than the headline suction specification, which is a manufacturer lab figure rather than a direct measure of how well this robot cleans a particular floor.

For a home with mostly hard floors, the combination of solid bare-floor results, obstacle handling, and automated mop care is attractive. For carpeted rooms where fine dust or pet hair is a recurring problem, the performance findings make it a less suitable choice. RTINGS also says the mop can handle stains, while noting that detergent solution is needed for it to work well.

It is not the strongest choice if carpet cleaning is your main requirement. RTINGS reports sub-par pickup of fine debris and poor pet-hair removal from carpet. The evidence supports considering it for homes where carpet is secondary to hard flooring, rather than relying on it as the primary answer to carpet and pet-hair cleanup.

The rotating mops and their lift function add a mopping capability, but they do not offset the carpet pickup limitations. Evaluate the robot according to the flooring and debris you most need it to handle.
How much space does the dock need?
The base station measures 423 × 340 × 568 mm according to Dreame, and RTINGS characterizes its footprint as relatively large. That makes the base a significant placement consideration: measure the intended location and account for practical access to the station, not only the robot’s 97 mm height. A robot can fit under furniture and still be inconvenient if its dock has no sensible home.

How much maintenance does the L10s Ultra need?
The dock automates dust emptying, water refilling, and mop-pad washing and drying, but RTINGS notes that the robot still needs frequent inspection and cleaning. Its review also identifies ongoing replacement needs for the brushroll, side brush, filter, mop pads, and dust bag, and describes recurring costs as high. RTINGS’ replacement intervals are guidance from that review, not guaranteed lifetimes: actual wear depends on the home, usage, and care.

Dreame’s Global product page lists a replacement dust bag, mop pads and holders, a side brush, a cleaning brush, and a bottle of multi-surface cleaner in the box. Dreame explicitly states, “Only Dreame’s solution should be used with L10s Ultra.” Check the model and compatibility information on any replacement listing before ordering, since some catalog listings cover multiple model families.

Dreame’s US accessory catalog lists L10s Ultra dust bags, side brushes, and other parts. A separate catalog view showed an exact-model accessory kit and roller brush cover as sold out. Stock and pricing can change and differ by market, so confirm availability and exact-model fit at purchase time.
What should you check before buying?
- Confirm the model: make sure the listing is for the original L10s Ultra, not the L10s Ultra Gen 2 or another similarly named model.
- Match the robot to your floors: its independent review findings are more favorable for bare floors and obstacle handling than for fine debris or pet hair on carpet.
- Measure the dock location: the base is substantially larger than the robot and needs a practical place to sit.
- Plan for upkeep: automated dock tasks do not remove routine cleaning or replacement needs.
- Verify current stock and compatibility: parts availability changes, and a family-level listing may not fit every variant.
Dreame provides manuals for multiple language and region groups, along with support entries for issues such as pausing, washboard water level, startup, docking, and LDS. Verdict: who should choose the original L10s Ultra?
Choose the original Dreame L10s Ultra if your home is primarily hard-floored, obstacle avoidance matters, and you value a dock that takes over several dust and mop-care tasks. Look elsewhere if your priority is consistently strong fine-debris or pet-hair pickup on carpet, or if there is no convenient place for a large base station. Before purchasing, check the exact model, the space available for its dock, and the cost and availability of compatible consumables.
