DRDO lists the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) in its Electronics and Communication Systems technology cluster and gives its location as Chandrayangutta Lines, Hyderabad. DRDO’s laboratory listing does not mention a CSIR-IICT partnership.
CSIR-IICT is a CSIR national laboratory in Hyderabad. Its official overview describes its work as knowledge-intensive translational research in chemistry and says it serves industrial clients as an R&D organization. What would verify the claim?
An original report or an official announcement from either institution would be needed to establish who made the call and when, whether it concerned an existing relationship or a new proposal, which research areas were discussed, and whether the institutions identified concrete next steps.
