Dragon’s Dogma 2 Title Update 4 is scheduled for October 9, 2026, alongside the paid Dark Arisen expansion. The update notes reproduced by RPG Site list Hard Mode, a new Orienteer specialization for Pawns, and an option to restart the game while carrying over current saved data. The reproduced notes call it “Title Update 4”; “4.0” appears in the outlet’s naming.
What Title Update 4 adds
RPG Site’s October 6, 2026 report reproduces notes for Title Update 4. The listed additions and adjustments include:

- Hard Mode: a new way to play with a tougher challenge.
- Orienteer specialization: a new specialization for Pawns.
- Restart with saved data: a feature that lets players carry current saved data and start the game over from the beginning. The reproduced notes do not explain what carries over or how the restart flow works.
- Dark Arisen support: the update notes list support for the expansion.
- More Rift Crystals: the listed reward from a forgotten Riftstone rises from 30 to 90.
- Thermal armor properties: some armor gains thermal properties.
The same reproduced notes also list fixes and adjustments involving Pawn behavior, button mapping, quests, equipment, and saved-data detection. They do not provide enough detail in the report to describe each fix individually.

Platform-specific changes
The reported notes identify separate enhancements for PS5 Pro and Steam. These are not presented as universal features for every platform.

RPG Site’s report names PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam in connection with the update notes. It does not confirm that this same base-game update is coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
When does the update arrive?
The update is scheduled for October 9, 2026, according to RPG Site’s October 6 report. Capcom separately gives October 9, 2026 as the release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen in its June 10, 2026 announcement. Since the date is still scheduled in those reports, it should not be read as confirmation that the update has already rolled out.

How the update relates to Dark Arisen
Capcom describes Dark Arisen as a paid expansion that adds a new story to Dragon’s Dogma 2. Its announcement lists Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for the expansion’s release. Capcom also says the Switch 2 version combines the main game and expansion in one package; the announcement does not say whether that package is physical, digital, or available in both formats.

The expansion’s Switch 2 release does not establish that the base game’s Title Update 4 is confirmed for Switch 2. For the update’s reported features, the available platform-specific information is the list above.
