The key distinction is whether you already own Dragon’s Dogma 2. The standalone expansion is an add-on and requires the base game. The PlayStation Store’s US bundle includes both, so it is the relevant option for someone who does not own the game and wants to start with the expansion.

When do the game and extras become available?
Capcom announced that preorders are open and set the expansion’s launch for October 9, 2026. The PlayStation bundle listing says the base game and some extras can be used immediately, while the expansion and Norgan Fashion Set become available on October 9. The Xbox Store description places the expansion in the northern region of Norgan and describes a story involving Eir and the Fallen Dragon. It also lists relics that unlock weapons and skills, plus 12 Lost Rites dungeon challenges. These are expansion features, not a reason to assume the standalone add-on includes the base game.
