Some LG 34-inch monitors have built-in speakers and some do not. The exact model suffix is decisive. LG’s 34WN80C-B has no internal speaker and provides only a sound-output headphone jack, while the 34WP65C-B and 34WQ75C-B include rated 7W × 2 stereo speakers. The 34WK650-W uses 5W × 2 speakers. Check the complete model number and the specification for your sales region before buying.
LG 34-inch audio specifications at a glance
| Model | Built-in speakers | Published output | Audio processing | Headphone output | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 34WN80C-B | No | None | None listed | Yes, 3-pole sound-only | Use headphones or powered external speakers. |
| 34WP65C-B | Yes | 7W × 2 | Waves MaxxAudio | Yes | Integrated audio for everyday desktop use. |
| 34WQ75C-B | Yes | 7W × 2 | MaxxAudio | Yes, 3-pole | Business-oriented alternative with integrated audio. |
| 34WK650-W | Yes | 5W × 2 | MaxxAudio | Yes | Lower-rated built-in speaker option. |
These are LG’s published hardware ratings, not independent measurements of loudness or sound quality. LG does not publish, in the cited specifications, maximum sound-pressure level, frequency-response curves, distortion figures, or listening-test results for these models.
Does the LG 34WN80C-B have built-in speakers?
No. LG’s 34WN80C-B specification explicitly says “Speaker: NO.” It lists a “Headphone out: 3-pole (Sound Only),” meaning the monitor can pass audio to a connected listening device but does not produce sound itself. LG’s Canadian specification also lists no speaker, no Bluetooth and no audio input.
How to get sound from the 34WN80C-B
- Connect the computer or console to the monitor through HDMI, DisplayPort or USB-C.
- In the operating system or console audio settings, select the monitor or connected display as the audio output.
- Plug headphones or powered desktop speakers into the monitor’s headphone-out jack.
- Adjust volume in the source device and, where available, in the monitor’s on-screen controls.
The jack is an output, not a built-in amplifier for passive speakers. Use powered speakers with their own power supply, or use headphones. Because LG lists no Bluetooth on this model, wireless audio requires a separate Bluetooth transmitter or a different monitor.

Which LG 34-inch model has built-in speakers?
LG 34WP65C-B: 7W × 2 with Waves MaxxAudio
LG identifies the 34WP65C-B as having a 7W stereo speaker system with Waves MaxxAudio; Korean product information describes it as 7 × 2 speakers with MaxxAudio. It also includes a headphone-out jack. This is the clearest choice in the listed range if integrated audio is a buying requirement.
For setup, select the monitor as the computer’s audio output after connecting it over a supported display connection. The built-in speakers suit alerts, video calls and casual video without adding desk speakers. Connect headphones to the output jack when you need private listening.

LG 34WQ75C-B: 7W × 2 for a business-focused alternative
LG’s specification for the 34WQ75C-B lists 7W × 2-channel speakers with MaxxAudio and a 3-pole headphone output. It provides the same published amplifier rating as the 34WP65C-B, but the rating alone does not establish that the two models sound identical.

LG 34WK650-W: 5W × 2
The 34WK650-W specification lists 5W × 2 speakers with MaxxAudio and a headphone output. Its rated output is lower than the 7W × 2 models. That difference describes amplifier rating; it does not predict exact perceived volume, bass or clarity without measurements under defined conditions.

What does 7W × 2 or 5W × 2 actually tell you?
The first number is the manufacturer’s rated output for each channel and the second indicates two channels. A 7W × 2 specification therefore denotes two 7-watt channels, while 5W × 2 denotes two 5-watt channels. It does not directly tell you how loud the monitor will sound in a particular room.
- Listening distance and room: desk position, reflections and background noise affect audibility.
- Source material: a compressed stream, game mix or quiet video can sound different even at the same volume setting.
- Speaker design: driver size, enclosure and tuning are not described by wattage alone.
- Processing: MaxxAudio or Waves MaxxAudio is listed by LG, but the specification does not quantify its effect on fidelity.
Consequently, the available specifications support a hardware comparison, not a definitive ranking of sound quality. Choose external speakers or headphones if dialogue intelligibility, bass extension, high volume or critical listening matters.

- You need display connectivity and USB-C power delivery but do not require integrated sound.
Choose the 34WP65C-B or 34WQ75C-B when
- You want sound without adding speakers to the desk.
- Your use is mainly alerts, meetings, streaming and casual gaming.
- You still want a headphone output for private listening.
Consider the 34WK650-W when
- You want built-in audio and its 5W × 2 rating meets your expectations.
- You are comparing the full monitor feature set rather than choosing on speaker output alone.
Before you buy: verify the exact suffix and market
“LG 34-inch monitor” is not a single audio configuration. Model names can differ by suffix, region and revision, and LG states that speaker availability varies by model. Read the detailed specification for the exact product being sold in your country. Confirm speaker presence, rated output, processing label and headphone connectivity instead of relying on screen size or a retailer’s abbreviated title.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteBottom line
There is no universal answer for LG’s 34-inch range. The 34WN80C-B has no built-in speakers and needs headphones or powered external speakers. The 34WP65C-B and 34WQ75C-B offer LG-rated 7W × 2 stereo audio with MaxxAudio, while the 34WK650-W offers 5W × 2. Treat those figures as specifications, not guarantees of loudness or sound quality, and verify the exact regional model before purchase.
