Yes. NVIDIA announced on October 8, 2026, that Gears of War: E-Day is streaming on GeForce NOW, two days after the game’s global release. Availability can vary while titles are onboarded, so check the GeForce NOW catalog for your region and store before you play.
What is Gears of War: E-Day?
Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel set 14 years before the original Gears of War. It follows Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago as they face the Locust Horde on Emergence Day. NVIDIA describes a campaign alongside cooperative and competitive modes, including Horde Siege and Versus.

NVIDIA’s October 1 article identifies PC-version features including DLSS 4.5, ray tracing, and RTX Mega Geometry. Those are listed technologies, not a guarantee of performance or image quality on every GeForce NOW device or membership tier. NVIDIA’s PC technology overview.
Where can you access the game?
NVIDIA’s October 8 GeForce NOW announcement lists E-Day as a new release on Steam and Xbox and says it is available on Game Pass. Those are the named access routes; check the store listing and your subscription or purchase status for the version you intend to play. The announcement does not establish a physical edition.
#1 Best Overall
- AN ORIGIN STORY BEGINS — Fight alongside Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago in the gripping origin story of Emergence Day, as the Locust Horde erupts from below.
- A DARKER, GRITTIER THREAT — Face reimagined enemies and a terrifying underground invasion that restores the fear, dread, and intensity at the heart of the Gears of War series.
- MULTIPLAYER EVOLVED — Battle in Horde Siege for large‑scale PvE action or prove your skill in refined Versus PvP with greater precision and competitive depth.
- CLASSIC COMBAT, MODERNIZED — Experience signature cover‑based gameplay enhanced with updated movement, traversal, and controls that feel like Gears while playing like something new.
- CO‑OP YOUR WAY — Play online with up to four players across Campaign, Horde Siege, and Versus, or team up locally with 2‑player split‑screen co‑op on console.
GeForce NOW availability may vary as games are onboarded after their store release and added throughout the week. A title being listed for Steam, Xbox, or Game Pass does not mean every store version is available to stream in every region at all times. NVIDIA had previewed GeForce NOW support in its August 27 Gamescom post; the October 8 post is the announcement that the game is now streaming.
What devices can stream it?
NVIDIA says GeForce NOW can stream the game to low-power laptops, Macs, mobile devices, handhelds, Firefox, and other browsers. It describes RTX 5080-class cloud performance for Ultimate members. Actual access and experience depend on the supported device, membership, region, and network; NVIDIA’s service description is not a promise of identical results on every setup.

NVIDIA also announced a planned Fire TV support expansion that named the Fire TV Stick 4K Select. The announcement said Amazon membership purchases for Fire TV users would arrive in the coming weeks, but it does not confirm that purchase flow is live now or that every Fire TV model is supported in every market. Check NVIDIA’s current device compatibility information before buying a device specifically for GeForce NOW.

- Look for Gears of War: E-Day in the GeForce NOW catalog and confirm the store version shown is the one you can access.
- Confirm you own the game or have an active subscription that includes it, where applicable.
- Check that your device and region are supported, and that your connection suits cloud streaming.
- If you are considering a GeForce NOW membership or day pass, check the current price, terms, and availability in your region. NVIDIA’s announcement mentions a day pass whose cost can be applied toward a first monthly membership, but does not establish a universal price or all membership terms.
