Square Enix’s new FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION gameplay announcement does not confirm a hot-springs gameplay feature. It highlights Weapon superbosses, the summon Typhon and open-world traversal. A Gamescom hands-on preview describes Mideel as a hot-springs town, but that establishes the location’s setting—not hot-springs interactions or special character conversations.
Does FF7 Revelation have hot springs?
Mideel, a location described as a hot-springs town, appears in Gamescom hands-on coverage of FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION. The preview places it on an island south of the eastern continent. That supports saying the game includes a hot-springs setting; it does not establish that players can use the springs as a gameplay feature.
A community post says director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed hot springs at various locations with unique character conversations, but the underlying interview or statement was not located. Treat the conversations claim as unverified, rather than as a feature confirmed by Square Enix.
What does the new gameplay footage show?

Planet-wide exploration and the Highwind
In a separate official announcement, Square Enix says players can explore the planet using the Highwind and drop in by parachute. The publisher describes the planet as freely explorable via the airship; this confirms traversal details, not a hot-springs mechanic. Read the official announcement.

When does FF7 Revelation come out, and what platforms are listed?
Square Enix’s North American announcement lists an April 8, 2027 release and these platforms: Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam and Epic Games Store. The announcement presents FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION as the forthcoming conclusion of the Final Fantasy VII Remake series.
