Colorlib Reg Form V6 is a free, four-field front-end job application form template for collecting a candidate’s name, email address, message and CV. It does not send or store applications on its own: you must connect it to a server-side script, CMS handler or form service before applicants can submit usable applications.
What’s included in Reg Form V6?
Colorlib describes Reg Form V6 as a job application form built with plain HTML and CSS, with no JavaScript required. Its four fields are:
- Full name
- Email address
- A message to the employer
- A CV upload from the applicant’s computer
That makes it a compact starting point for a careers page. The template supplies the front-end form, not a complete hiring or application-management system. Colorlib’s description is in its form-template article.

No. The form needs a receiving handler configured to accept submissions. Colorlib recommends setting the form’s action to a server script, CMS handler or form service and using method="post". The handler—not the visible form—must receive and process the submitted information.

Validate submitted data on the server even if you also provide checks in the browser. A CV upload control only lets an applicant select a file; it does not establish that your backend accepts, scans, restricts or stores that file safely. Colorlib’s page does not specify accepted file types, maximum size, storage behavior or file-security controls, so those details need to be implemented and documented for your own setup.
How can you customize it?
Edit the HTML to change fields and their names or IDs. Keep each visible label associated with the corresponding input when you add, remove or rename fields. Change colors, fonts and spacing in the stylesheet. After edits, inspect the form at phone width and confirm that labels remain visible; the general guidance for Colorlib’s forms recommends these checks, but it does not establish that this particular template meets an accessibility standard or has been independently tested on specific devices.

What should you check before publishing?
- Point the form action to a configured handler and confirm that it receives a test submission.
- Use POST and validate the submitted fields on the server.
- Define and test your upload rules, including allowed file types, size limits, storage and security handling.
- Check that field labels match their controls and that the layout is usable at phone width.
- Decide how your implementation will handle applicant data and communicate that to applicants.

Reg Form V6 suits a straightforward application page when four fields are enough and you can provide the receiving backend yourself. For a longer process with more sections, Colorlib separately describes Job Application Form V01 as including a CV picker, cover letter and client-side error summary. Those descriptions indicate different levels of form complexity; they are not a tested comparison of quality or performance.
