Yes, according to available guides and a campaign review: collectibles are tracked by act and chapter, and items found on a chapter replay reportedly remain in the overall campaign tally. You can reportedly replay an individual chapter to recover a missed collectible. However, official Xbox achievement information confirms the campaign-wide collection goal but does not explain the save rules, so do not assume a pickup is saved immediately.
How collectible carryover reportedly works
Collectibles are reportedly organized by act and chapter, while the completion goal spans the campaign. Gamer Social Club’s October 1, 2026 review says replaying a chapter does not remove previously collected items from the overall tally: Gamer Social Club.

Why the campaign-wide goal matters
Xbox Wire’s September 9, 2026 achievement list includes “Memories From E-Day,” described as “Find all Collectibles in the Campaign (any difficulty).” The list includes campaign achievements across Acts 1 through 5, supporting an overall campaign collection goal rather than a requirement to find every item in one uninterrupted chapter run: Xbox Wire.

The guides and review support chapter replay and an enduring overall tally, but they do not establish whether a replayed pickup saves immediately or only after finishing the chapter. If you want to be certain it counted, verify the War Journal rather than quitting immediately after collecting it.

Gears’ official open-beta FAQ discusses a different kind of carryover: some beta rewards transfer to launch, while class progression, player level, and other medal progress reset. Those rules concern beta multiplayer progression, not campaign collectibles, and do not establish how campaign saves work: Gears of War FAQ.
