Sometimes—but not automatically. A Call of Duty pre-order bonus may be usable on another platform when both platform accounts are linked to the same Activision account and the offer says the content is cross-platform. However, some rewards are locked to the platform where you pre-ordered, require a particular Call of Duty title for redemption, need a code, or depend on a subscription. Moving a platform account to a different Activision account is a separate situation: progression and owned content do not transfer to the new Activision account.
Before changing account links, identify the exact game, reward, pre-order platform, destination platform and Activision account. Then check the live bonus-content or editions page for that title.
The answer depends on two different account changes
Players often use “moving platforms” and “moving Activision accounts” interchangeably, but they have different results.

| Same Activision account, different linked platform | Progression for supported cross-progression games is stored on the Activision account and carries to linked platforms. | The specific pre-order reward may have a platform, game, code, subscription or expiry requirement. |
| Platform account linked to a different Activision account | Progression and owned content do not move to the new Activision account. Relinking the original account can restore the original progression and content. | Unlinking restrictions and the reward’s own terms still apply. |
| Same platform and same Activision account | The entitlement is normally checked against the original purchase and account. | A code may need separate redemption, or the reward may only work in a named game. |
Activision’s account-management article explains that, in crossplay-enabled games, “game progression … is stored on your Activision account” and is available on platforms linked to that account. Read the current guidance at Managing Your Activision Account.

How the Activision account controls cross-progression
Using another platform with the same account
If you move from one console or PC platform to another while signing in to the same Activision account, supported progression can follow you. Your profile, levels and other account-linked items are associated with that Activision account rather than being duplicated separately for every platform.
This rule is about supported game progression and selected content. It is not a blanket promise that every pre-order entitlement, currency balance or purchase is platform-independent. A reward page for the particular release takes priority over the general cross-progression explanation.
Linking a platform to a different Activision account
Suppose your console account was originally linked to Activision account A, and you connect it to account B. Activision says that progress does not carry over to the new Activision account. Returning the platform account to account A can restore access to the progression and owned content associated with A; that does not merge A and B.
Activision also describes one linked account per provider and limits how often an individual platform account can be unlinked. The account-management page states that a platform account may be unlinked once every 12 months. Check the current rules before attempting a change, because an unnecessary unlink can leave you unable to reconnect the account when you need to.

Why a pre-order bonus can behave differently from progression
“Pre-order bonus” describes a marketing offer, not one universal technical entitlement. The exact terms can place a reward in several categories.
Account-linked rewards
Some rewards are granted to the Activision account and made available in supported games on linked platforms. The offer must explicitly support that behavior; the existence of cross-progression alone is not enough.
Platform-specific rewards
A bonus can be tied to the storefront or platform used for the order. For example, the Modern Warfare II support page lists the Oni Operator Pack as included with a digital edition pre-ordered through the PlayStation Store. That wording describes a PlayStation Store offer, not a universal entitlement for every storefront. See Modern Warfare II Bonus Content and Code Support.
Game-specific rewards
Some items are granted for one game but redeemed or used in another. The game named in the reward description matters: owning the pre-order title does not necessarily make the item usable in every Call of Duty release.

Code-based rewards
A code can require manual entry at the specified redemption site or in a particular game. Until the code is redeemed on the correct account, changing platforms will not make the content appear automatically. Codes can also have a date, regional restriction or one-time-use condition.
Subscription or date-dependent rewards
An edition may require an eligible subscription on the platform where the entitlement is claimed, and the subscription may need to remain active. A promotion can also expire even when the game itself remains available.
What official Call of Duty examples show
Older and newer support pages demonstrate why a title-and-reward check is necessary.

| Black Ops 7 Reznov Challenge Pack | The pack is a pre-order reward for use with Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Black Ops 6 or Warzone on the pre-order platform is required to redeem it. The support result lists a November 14, 2026 redemption deadline. | A linked Activision account does not remove the pre-order-platform and eligible-game requirements. Confirm the live page before relying on the deadline. |
| Black Ops 7 editions | The editions information says the Reznov Challenge Pack is for Black Ops 6 and Warzone and is not usable in Black Ops 7; it also specifies the pre-order-platform requirement. | Buying Black Ops 7 does not mean every bonus is an item for Black Ops 7 itself. |
| Black Ops 6 Woods and Reflect 115 content | The editions page describes use in named Call of Duty games. Game Pass subscribers had to log in on the platform where they were eligible subscribers by the stated date and maintain the subscription. | Subscription eligibility and the claiming platform can be part of the entitlement. |
| Modern Warfare II Steam pre-orders | The editions FAQ said specified bundles could be available in Warzone and Vanguard on all platform accounts linked to the Activision account, even though those games were not available on Steam. | This is an example of a reward crossing platforms because the offer said it could, not proof that every pre-order does. |
| Vanguard next-generation transition | The editions FAQ described profile, progression, stats and digital content moving to a next-generation console when the player continued using the same Activision account. | It is a title-specific historical example of same-account continuity, not a universal promise for current releases. |

Check these details before you switch platforms or accounts
- Name the exact Call of Duty title you ordered. Editions and bonuses can differ between releases, regions and editions.
- Write down the precise reward. “The pre-order bonus” may include several separate items with different rules.
- Record the pre-order platform. Note whether the purchase was made through a console store, PC storefront or a physical retailer.
- Identify the destination platform. Distinguish a new console or PC platform from a new Activision account; they are not the same change.
- Verify account linkage. Sign in to Activision account management and confirm that both platform accounts are linked to the same Activision account.
- Look for the eligible game. The reward may need to be claimed in another Call of Duty title, such as Black Ops 6 or Warzone.
- Check redemption mechanics. Determine whether the item is automatic, requires a code, or appears only after launching a named game.
- Read dates and subscription conditions. Record any expiry date, required subscription, regional limit or “maintain subscription” language.
How to verify and claim a bonus safely
- Open the official editions or bonus-content page for the exact release. Do not rely on a retailer summary if the Activision page provides the terms.
- Match the reward name on that page with the item shown in your order confirmation. Similar names can refer to different bundles.
- Sign in to the Activision account used when you played or claimed the content. Confirm the platform account is linked there before launching the game.
- If the offer supplies a code, redeem it using the instructions on the official page while signed in to the intended Activision account. Do not redeem a one-time code on an account you may later abandon.
- Install or launch the eligible game and platform specified by the offer. Some rewards are granted only after the required title starts or after a short synchronization period.
- Check the game’s operator, weapon, blueprint or customization menus rather than only the main store. A reward can be present in an inventory category without appearing as a new store item.
- Only after confirming access should you consider changing platform links. If you move the platform to another Activision account, the original progression and owned content will not follow.
If the bonus is missing
Verify the account first
Sign out and compare the Activision account identifier used at purchase, code redemption and gameplay. A platform profile can be logged in successfully while being linked to an unexpected Activision account. If it is the wrong account, avoid creating additional links or redeeming another code until you know which account owns the entitlement.
Check the required title and platform
Launch the game named in the reward terms on the platform used for the pre-order if the offer requires that combination. A reward intended for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, for example, will not appear as an item in Black Ops 7 simply because both games use the same Activision login.
Look for a code or deadline
Review the order email, receipt and the official support page for a code, redemption window or regional condition. For the Black Ops 7 Reznov Challenge Pack, the support result lists November 14, 2026 as the redemption deadline; because bonus terms can change, verify the live page before relying on that date.

Do not unlink repeatedly
Activision’s account guidance limits platform-account unlinking to once every 12 months. Repeated attempts can make the situation harder to recover and cannot merge content from two Activision accounts.

Contact support with complete details
If the published requirements are satisfied and the reward is still absent, use the relevant Activision support path. Include the title and edition, reward name, pre-order platform, destination platform, order or code details, Activision account and the date you attempted redemption. Support can investigate an entitlement; it cannot be assumed that a reward will be moved to a different account.
COD Points and purchases follow separate rules
Do not use a COD Points rule as a shortcut for deciding whether a cosmetic or pre-order entitlement transfers. Activision’s cross-progression guidance distinguishes account-linked progression and some purchased content from COD Points and certain real-money purchases that can remain tied to the platform. Battle Pass progress and selected purchased content may be shared across linked platforms, while currency can have platform limits.
Read the relevant guidance for the release, including Crossplay and Cross-Progression in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Crossplay and Cross-Progression in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and COD Points in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. These pages describe currency and purchase behavior, not a universal rule for every pre-order bonus.
Quick Recap
A simple decision rule
- Same Activision account plus an offer that says linked platforms: the bonus may appear on the destination platform after the stated game and redemption steps.
- Different Activision account: assume the bonus and progression will remain with the original account unless the official terms explicitly say otherwise.
- Platform-specific wording, code or eligible-game requirement: satisfy that condition even when cross-progression is enabled.
- No exact title-and-reward terms: do not promise transfer. The only reliable answer requires the live offer page for that specific item.
