How much is Disney reportedly asking for a Super Bowl ad?
A report published October 5, 2026, says Disney is seeking between $10 million and $12 million for a 30-second Super Bowl LXI commercial. The figure comes from two media buyers familiar with negotiations, according to Yahoo Finance. It is a reported asking range, not a published Disney rate card, and the report does not establish that an advertiser agreed to pay the top figure.
Earlier, Variety reported in April 2026 that Disney was initially seeking $10 million for a 30-second spot. That report also described negotiations involving spending elsewhere in Disney’s portfolio. The later $10 million-to-$12 million range is still negotiation reporting, not proof of a completed transaction.

There is no publicly confirmed $12 million sale in the available reporting. Disney’s August 5 announcement said Super Bowl LXI inventory was sold out but gave no commercial prices. The Los Angeles Times likewise reported that Disney had not disclosed prices. Treat the later figure as what Disney was reportedly seeking, not what it charged or received.

The distinction matters because an asking price, a negotiated package and a completed sale are different things. The reported discussions may include commitments to other Disney advertising inventory, so the spot figure alone does not establish the total value or terms of any deal.
Why are ads being discussed after Disney announced a sellout?
Disney Advertising announced on August 5, 2026 that Super Bowl LXI inventory had sold out. Its release counted 58 brands across 34 categories, including nine first-time Super Bowl advertisers. Disney Global Advertising President Rita Ferro described the sellout as evidence of advertiser demand; that is Disney’s characterization of its own announcement, not an independent measurement.

The October report says current talks may involve inventory returned by an existing advertiser and a commitment to buy other Disney media. Those details are attributed to unnamed sources and have not been confirmed by Disney. When and where is Super Bowl LXI?
Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium. The Los Angeles Times describes an ABC and ESPN telecast, an alternate ESPN feed, and streaming through the ESPN and NFL+ apps. Disney has also promoted the game as ESPN’s inaugural Super Bowl.
