As of October 7, 2026, the released Haunted Floating Festival puzzles include the Ghostly Zero fox memory, the combination pillar, the Terror-rific Tree, the Black Cauldron, the Haunted Armor quiz, and several Haunted House puzzles. The Ghostly Zero reward takes four separate days; the other solutions below give the required answers, items, locations, and rewards. Puzzle availability can change, so check the in-game event for the current schedule.
How to reach the Haunted Floating Festival
The Haunted Floating Festival is a limited-time island event. The event listing describes entering through the portal in the Plaza. Its published dates of October 22–November 11 refer to the 2025 run, not the 2026 schedule; a 2026 end date is not established. My Dreamlight Valley’s event listing describes the format and portal.
Ghostly Zero fox: Clawed Foot Tub
Find Haunted Skeleton Fish beside Zero’s House and feed one to the roaming ghost fox. The fox gives one memory piece after its first feeding each day, so collecting all four pieces takes four separate days. Feeding it again on the same day does not accelerate the sequence.

- Feed it to the ghost fox and claim the memory piece.
- Return on three later days and repeat the first feeding.
- Complete the memory image, then dig at the hearse location shown in it to claim the Clawed Foot Tub.
Combination pillar: Haunted Festival Dress
The pillar is behind the Haunted Mansion. Use the island’s symbols and pumpkin-count clues to set its four positions in this order:

Terror-rific Tree: item counts and locations
The nearby book’s riddle asks for 20 black feathers from fearless birds, 15 bony fish near a beloved companion’s tombstone, and 10 pale blooms near the most haunted house. Those clues point to these items:

Deposit all three item types at the tree to receive a pouch containing the Terror-rific Tree. According to the Dreamlight Valley Wiki’s current puzzle reference, feathers and fish respawn 10 minutes after collection, up to three at a time; roses respawn after 15 minutes, also up to three at a time. Gathering the full quantities therefore involves collecting more than one respawn batch.

Potion Brewer’s House: The Black Cauldron
Follow the clue for a thorny white bloom, a feline fish, two fleshless fish favored by the ghostly fox, and an en-garde fish. Add these ingredients to the cauldron:

Haunted Mansion: Haunted Armor quiz answers
Answer the four questions in order:
- How many blue pumpkins are on the island? Six.
- Which animal is inside the Scary Surprise Box? A cat.
- How many graves are there? Seven.
- What is Ghostly Zero’s favorite food? Blue Skele-Fish.
Answer all four correctly to receive Haunted Armor furniture.

- Find Frightening Flowers by I.M. Skaired in the front room; place it in the hallway.

- Find Terrifying Tunes by Major Frite in the storage room; place it on the first bookshelf in the back room.
Completing the resulting memory puzzle awards a Chomping Chest.

The bedroom combination puzzle requires the Repaired Haunted Key and uses symbol clues displayed inside the house. The available written solution does not identify the symbols in readable text, so an exact combination cannot be stated reliably here. Follow the symbols shown in your own house rather than entering a guessed sequence.
Haunted House basement: Eerie Basement Door
- Unlock the back room and find the lion statue with a key in its mouth, to the right of the bookstand.
- Break the statue with your Pickaxe and collect the Eerie Basement Door Key.
- Use the key on the basement door outside the Haunted House.
- Open the chest inside to receive an Eerie Basement Door.
What is not available yet?
The guide lists another puzzle for October 18, 2026, but marks it TBA. It was not available as of October 7, 2026. The Video Games Chronicle walkthrough, published November 5, 2025, independently corroborates five puzzles from the earlier event run; the 2026 additions and schedule are listed by the community-maintained Dreamlight Valley Wiki and may change with game updates.
