The Dimplex DC30DEHUM is a compressor dehumidifier rated to remove 30 litres of moisture per day only under the manufacturer’s stated test condition of 30°C and 80% relative humidity. Its 4-litre tank, specified 5–35°C operating range and compressor-generated heat matter as much as that headline capacity when deciding whether it suits a room.
What the Dimplex DC30DEHUM is
Dimplex Australia identifies the DC30DEHUM as a 30L dehumidifier and provides a model specification sheet and a combined instruction manual for the DC20DEHUM and DC30DEHUM. The unit uses refrigerant R290 and has three operating modes and two fan speeds. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independently measured results. Dimplex Australia product page
How to interpret its 30L capacity
Dimplex rates extraction at 30 litres at 30°C and 80% relative humidity. That figure applies to the stated warm, humid condition; it is not a promise that the unit will collect 30 litres every day in a cooler or drier home. Actual collection depends on operating conditions, so the rating alone cannot tell you how frequently you will need to empty the tank.
The DC30DEHUM has a 4-litre water tank. Because the stated extraction rating is much larger than the tank’s capacity, collected water needs to be managed during operation; the sources do not establish a particular emptying interval.

Operating temperature, room heat and noise
Dimplex specifies an operating temperature range of 5–35°C. The manual cautions that compressor operation produces heat: “When the dehumidifier is in operation, the running compressor will produce heat, this is normal and may potentially raise the room temperature.” It is therefore not a cooling appliance, and that warming effect may be relevant in a room where temperature comfort matters. The specification sheet lists noise levels of 61 dB(A) on low and 63 dB(A) on high. These are the manufacturer’s listed figures; the reviewed material does not provide an independent noise test or specify a measurement setup.
