In 91Mobiles’ published comparison, the Dimensity 8500 Ultra leads the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 in both AnTuTu and Geekbench scores. Treat that as a result reported for the comparison page—not a guarantee about every phone: the page does not establish equivalent test devices or a controlled, like-for-like protocol. There is also a naming distinction: MediaTek’s official materials identify its processor as Dimensity 8500, without “Ultra.”
Which processor is faster in the reported benchmarks?
The Dimensity 8500 Ultra has the higher scores in the detailed benchmark sections on 91Mobiles. Its reported AnTuTu total is more than twice the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 figure, and its Geekbench single- and multi-core scores are also higher. These are publisher-reported figures, not results from a documented controlled comparison.

The same page’s summary row gives the Dimensity 8500 Ultra an AnTuTu score of 2,155,265, rather than the 2,136,906 shown in its detailed section. Its Geekbench multi-core summary is 6,860, compared with 6,657 in the detailed section. The table above consistently uses the detailed-section figures; the discrepancies mean neither Dimensity value should be treated as a definitive standardized score.

How do the reported specifications compare?
91Mobiles describes both processors as 4 nm, octa-core chips. Its comparison lists different CPU arrangements, graphics processors, and memory types:

MediaTek’s official Dimensity 8500 product page specifies eight Cortex-A725 cores: one up to 3.4 GHz, three up to 3.2 GHz, and four up to 2.2 GHz. It lists Mali-G720 MC8 graphics, 6 MB of L3 cache, 5 MB of system-level cache, four-channel LPDDR5X memory up to 9600 Mbps, and UFS 4 storage with MCQ.

The product page also lists platform support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, camera sensors up to 320 MP, 4K60 video capture, and 4K60 playback. These are platform capabilities, not assurances that a particular phone includes every option.
What does “Dimensity 8500 Ultra” mean?
MediaTek’s official product page and announcement use the name Dimensity 8500; 91Mobiles uses Dimensity 8500 Ultra for its comparison entry. The available sources do not establish whether “Ultra” is an OEM or regional label for the same implementation, so the names should not be treated as confirmed equivalents.

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 8500 on January 15, 2026. Its announcement describes an energy-efficient 4 nm process and eight Cortex-A725 cores running at up to 3.4 GHz. MediaTek also claims up to 25% higher peak GPU performance and 20% lower GPU power consumption than the previous generation. Those percentages are the company’s stated comparison with its previous generation, not independent measurements of the two chips in this article.

The published scores support a narrow conclusion: in the figures listed by 91Mobiles, the Dimensity 8500 Ultra performs better on AnTuTu and Geekbench. They do not establish how two specific phones compare in daily use. A chip’s peak benchmark result alone cannot determine battery life, sustained gaming performance, heat, or the experience of using a particular handset.

Display, camera, battery, software support, price, and regional availability can matter more to a purchase than a chip-level score. The cited sources do not rank complete phone experiences across those factors.
