The Dimensity 6020 is the stronger choice if you need 5G: MediaTek lists 5G support, while Qualcomm specifies the Snapdragon 665 with an LTE modem. The Dimensity 6020 also has a newer-looking CPU configuration on paper, and a benchmark comparison reports higher Geekbench 6 single-core results for it. Those chip-level differences do not guarantee how two actual phones will perform; handset design, software, network bands, memory and cooling matter too.
Dimensity 6020 vs Snapdragon 665 at a glance
| Feature | MediaTek Dimensity 6020 | Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile network | 5G, including carrier aggregation, according to MediaTek | LTE via the X12 modem, according to Qualcomm |
| CPU | 2 Cortex-A76 cores up to 2.2 GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores up to 2 GHz | Kryo 260 CPU up to 2 GHz |
| Graphics | Arm Mali-G57 MC2 | Adreno 610 |
| Memory and storage | LPDDR4x memory; UFS 2.2 storage, two-lane | Equivalent storage configuration not stated on Qualcomm’s specification page |
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 711, as reported by CPU-Monkey | 334, as reported by CPU-Monkey |
Specifications are from MediaTek and Qualcomm. Benchmark values are from CPU-Monkey’s comparison, updated June 5, 2026. They are not results from a controlled test of matched phones.
Which chipset is faster?
The available benchmark comparison favors the Dimensity 6020 in Geekbench 6 single-core performance: CPU-Monkey lists 711 for the Dimensity 6020 and 334 for the Snapdragon 665. This is a database-reported comparison, not a controlled head-to-head phone test. Scores can vary with the handset, benchmark version, configuration and sample set, so the figures indicate a reported result rather than a guaranteed speed difference in every phone.

Another database illustrates why it is important not to treat one score as definitive. NanoReview lists a Dimensity 6020 Geekbench 6 single-core result of 724 and a multi-core result of 2,032; it also includes user-submitted AnTuTu 12 entries dated September 22 and October 2, 2026. These are different data points from CPU-Monkey’s comparison and should not be combined as if they came from one test set. See NanoReview’s Dimensity 6020 page.

What the CPU and GPU specifications tell you
CPU design
MediaTek specifies two Cortex-A76 cores running up to 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running up to 2 GHz in the Dimensity 6020. Qualcomm lists a Kryo 260 CPU running up to 2 GHz for the Snapdragon 665. The core names and designs differ, so clock speeds alone cannot establish how quickly a phone will open apps, multitask or sustain a workload.
Graphics
The Dimensity 6020 uses an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU; the Snapdragon 665 uses an Adreno 610 GPU. These names identify the graphics hardware, but do not establish a universal gaming frame rate. Actual results depend on the game, phone configuration, software and thermal behavior.

Why 5G may be the deciding difference
MediaTek lists 5G capability, including carrier aggregation, for the Dimensity 6020. Qualcomm specifies the Snapdragon 665’s X12 modem as LTE. That makes the Dimensity platform the relevant choice between these two if 5G is a requirement, but chipset support does not guarantee that a particular phone can use every local network band or service. Check the exact handset’s supported bands and your carrier’s coverage for your region.

- Network compatibility: the exact model’s regional bands and carrier support.
- Memory and storage: the amount installed and the storage implementation; chipset specifications do not determine what a manufacturer puts in a phone.
- Cooling and sustained performance: the handset’s design can affect how well it maintains performance during longer workloads.
- Battery behavior and software: compare the actual phones, since chipset specifications alone do not settle battery life or overall responsiveness.
- Price and software support: compare the specific models and their update policies rather than assuming one chipset makes every phone the better purchase.
In short, the Dimensity 6020 has the clear platform advantage for 5G and leads in the cited Geekbench 6 single-core comparison. For a purchase decision, the exact phone’s network compatibility, configuration, software and real-world behavior are still decisive.
