The official Pokémon announcements reviewed do not substantiate a reveal of new Eeveelution designs for the franchise’s 30th anniversary. One announcement that may cause confusion is about Jolteon and Flareon joining Pokémon UNITE as playable characters. It describes a game-roster addition, not newly designed evolutions.
What did Pokémon announce for its 30th anniversary?
Pokémon’s 30th anniversary marked the February 27, 1996 Japanese launch of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green. The official Japanese site said the milestone would fall on February 27, 2026, and announced a 30th-anniversary logo and a Pikachu video on January 9. Pokémon’s January 9 anniversary announcement
On February 27, the official site announced an anniversary feature page, monthly themes and a commemorative video on Pokémon’s official YouTube channel. That announcement did not report new Eeveelution designs. Pokémon’s February 27 anniversary feature-page announcement

An August 30, 2026 roundup from The Pokémon Company’s Asia press site said Jolteon and Flareon would join Pokémon UNITE as playable Pokémon, with more details about their moves and roles to come. The Pokémon Company’s PokémonXP and World Championships roundup

That is a video-game roster announcement involving existing Eevee evolutions. It is not an announcement of new evolution species or designs. The official material reviewed does not connect the UNITE news to a new Eeveelution reveal.
