GSR’s reviewed announcements do not verify a new vault business backed by $100 million in onchain credit. The closest confirmed match is Galaxy’s GOFR lending program, which is a separate company’s offering: Galaxy said it would commit up to $100 million of its own capital as first-loss protection. A separate Coinshift product reported more than $100 million in TVL and listed GSR as a liquidity provider, not its operator.
Did GSR announce a $100 million onchain-credit vault?
Not in the GSR announcements reviewed here. GSR’s March 2026 announcement about its $57 million acquisition of Autonomous and Architech describes support for tokenized organizations, including launch operations, financial infrastructure and advisory services. It does not announce a credit-vault business or a $100 million commitment to onchain lending. GSR’s 2026 outlook likewise describes the company’s direction and expansion priorities without substantiating that specific claim.
This conclusion is limited to those reviewed announcements; it is not proof that no later or unindexed announcement exists. The available sources do not provide a relevant statement from a named GSR executive confirming the alleged launch.

Where does the $100 million onchain-credit figure come from?
The clearest verified match is Galaxy’s GOFR announcement, dated July 14, 2026. Galaxy said it would commit up to $100 million of its own capital as first-loss protection for a managed lending program that connects institutional clients with onchain credit markets. The amount is a stated risk-protection commitment—not a vault’s total value locked (TVL) or a reported loan-book balance. Galaxy’s announcement gives a $1 million minimum loan size.

How GOFR is described
Galaxy says borrowers receive a loan from Galaxy at a single optimized rate. Galaxy sources and rebalances financing across protocols including Aave, Morpho, Spark and Kamino. In the described structure, Galaxy is the borrower’s counterparty; the underlying protocol exposure is part of how Galaxy manages financing, rather than a direct relationship between each borrower and a standalone GSR vault.
Could the GSR connection be Coinshift’s csUSDL?
It may explain another version of the claim, but csUSDL is distinct from GOFR and from the alleged GSR vault. In May 2025, Coinshift announced csUSDL as a product combining U.S. Treasury bill returns with onchain lending through Morpho. Coinshift reported more than $100 million in TVL at the time of that announcement; that is a dated figure, not a statement of current TVL. The announcement lists GSR as one of the liquidity providers, not as the product operator. Coinshift’s announcement identifies Coinshift as the announcer.

What to check before attributing a crypto-credit product
- Identify the operator. A company appearing as a liquidity provider is not necessarily the vault manager or product issuer.
- Read what the dollar figure measures. First-loss protection, TVL and loan-book size describe different things and should not be treated as interchangeable.
- Check who owes whom. In Galaxy’s description of GOFR, borrowers borrow from Galaxy, while Galaxy manages financing across protocols.
- Use dated figures as dated figures. Coinshift’s more-than-$100-million TVL was reported in May 2025 and does not establish current TVL.
