The Town code index located for this topic says it includes legislation through June 29, 2026—before the scheduled hearing. It therefore cannot establish the outcome of that hearing. A separate DeWitt Charter Township is in Michigan; Michigan ordinance information should not be used to determine the rules in the New York town.
Can I get my money back if my rental is canceled?
The Town notice does not determine an individual guest’s refund rights. Start with the cancellation and relocation terms attached to your reservation, then ask the party that canceled to explain in writing how those terms apply and what it will provide. Compare the details that affect the stay
- Total cost: Ask for the full price, including taxes and fees. A Town source describes a 2.00% hotel-room occupancy tax effective January 1, 2024 for covered hotel occupancy. Do not assume it applies to every kind of lodging or that a displayed rate includes it.
- Location and transport: Compare distance to your destination, parking, and public or other transport options.
