Despotism 3k is a single-player resource-management game, not a title with a verified cheat-code list in the sources reviewed here. The practical way to make progress is to manage workers, power, food, exhaustion and population, then use chip unlocks and achievement-specific setups to shape runs. The unlock details below come from a Steam Community guide and may be version-sensitive.
Are there cheats or working glitches in Despotism 3k?
No cheat codes or console commands are verified by the official Steam store page or the community achievement guide cited here. That is an evidence limit, not proof that no codes or exploits exist. The guide reports “Glitched Achievements: 0” in its 2023 summary; that is a time-bounded claim about achievements, not a comprehensive finding about gameplay glitches.
Accordingly, this guide focuses on documented progression advice rather than promising that an exploit works. The unlock and achievement instructions are from Mouflon_TA’s Steam Community guide, published July 19, 2022 and updated September 16, 2023. Steam describes Despotism 3k as a resource-management simulation with roguelite elements. The player exploits humans to generate power while managing hunger and exhaustion; choices in randomly generated events can help or hurt, and a failed run starts over. The store’s promotional copy puts the premise this way: “Humanity is enslaved by an AI… which is awesome, because we’re on the right side of the conflict.”

The community guide describes two campaigns and an Endless mode, with random events at the end of each day. Since a run’s events and outcomes can vary, a good setup for one achievement may be a poor fit for another. Keep the immediate objective in view: protect the resource or population condition the achievement requires, rather than applying one strategy to every run.

The community guide presents chips as ways to change run conditions or difficulty. Its listed unlock instructions are:

- A TEAM SPORT, NOT A TOSS GAME. Two teams play at the same time. One side attacks the pole, the other defends and intercepts. First to eleven, win by two.
- OFFENSE AND DEFENSE, LIVE. Passing, interceptions, turnovers, rebounds and penalty shots. Possession changes constantly, so the game moves instead of taking turns.

These are guide-authored instructions, not official in-game documentation; event wording or requirements could differ by game version. For the Small Planet and Mutants chips in particular, the guide’s exact event names and option sequence matter.
Achievement setups and objectives
The same community guide gives the following targets and strategies. Check the current in-game achievement description before relying on a day number, especially for “Almost There!”

Choosing a chip and mode for progression
There is no universally best chip: choose according to the run condition you need to meet. The standard or classic setup avoids the specific modifiers attached to specialized chips, while a specialized chip can make a particular target more manageable or alter the run’s conditions. For example, the guide recommends Small Planet for “Paranoid.” Avoid Easy when pursuing achievements because the guide says it disables them.
Campaign runs are relevant to the campaign-specific objectives and the Hardcore unlock described above. Endless mode is also mentioned by the guide for achievements that require collecting modifiers. Use the mode associated with the objective rather than assuming campaign and Endless progress are interchangeable.

How long does 100% completion take?
Steam’s store listing showed 30 achievements when inspected October 7, 2026. Mouflon_TA’s guide, updated in 2023, also reports 30 in-game achievements and estimates roughly 40–50 hours for 100% completion. That duration is the guide author’s estimate, not an official statistic; the guide attributes the difficulty of completion to randomness and Hardcore mode, and describes the process as potentially frustrating.
