Desk Space: Idle Spacefleet Clicker is designed to sit in a screen corner or on a second monitor while you focus elsewhere. Its Steam listing describes an incremental game in which you expand and automate a fleet through mining, trading, upgrades, exploration, and prestige. That makes it a plausible fit for a desk-friendly idler, though the listing alone cannot establish how unobtrusive or satisfying it feels in practice.

What kind of game is Desk Space?

Desk Space: Idle Spacefleet Clicker is a single-player PC incremental game developed and published by Shotgun Anaconda. Steam categorizes it as Casual, Simulation, and Strategy. Its central idea is to grow a space fleet that generates progress while you give attention to other tasks.

The listing says you can pin the game to the desktop or play fullscreen. A second monitor is therefore an intended convenience, not a requirement: the store’s minimum system requirements do not specify a second display. See the Steam listing.

How does progression work?

The listed progression systems revolve around making a fleet more capable and extending its reach. You acquire and monitor ships, improve their efficiency and carrying capacity, trade with stations, mine asteroids, and explore farther into space. Upgrades and combinations of ships add further ways to develop the fleet. The description also mentions a stock market and deploying pirates.

The listing does not detail how often these systems require direct input, how clearly upgrades are communicated, or how much progress occurs while the player is away. Those are important practical questions for an idle game, but they cannot be settled from the store description alone.

Is there an end to the campaign?

Steam describes a curated experience of roughly five hours of active gameplay. That is Shotgun Anaconda’s design estimate, not an independently measured completion time; actual play time may differ. The description says later prestige resets add complexity.
