Aidil Chairi Willian’s 1st Course project was not deployed as a complete Laravel application on Tencent EdgeOne Makers. Willian reports publishing a static demonstration of the project; its full version uses Laravel 11, PHP, and MySQL for student and financial-management features. That distinction matters: a static demo can show a project’s interface, but it does not establish that its server-side application and database are running.
What Willian deployed—and what he did not
Willian describes 1st Course as an information-management system for a non-formal tutoring institution. He says the full project includes student management, monthly tuition (SPP) management, income and expense records, and financial information, with Admin, Owner, and Student access levels. He lists Laravel 11, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS as its stack. These are the author’s descriptions; the available account does not independently inspect the application or source code. Willian’s project account describes the deployment as a static demonstration, not the full application.

A static deployment can present prepared pages and assets, but by itself it does not demonstrate the Laravel server-side behavior or MySQL-backed features described for the full project. The case therefore shows a way to publish a static project demo through Makers—not proof that the complete 1st Course system ran there.

How the reported deployment worked
Willian’s workflow was Local Development → GitHub → Tencent EdgeOne Makers → Static Demonstration. He connected the repository through GitHub, chose the main branch for production, selected “Other” as the framework because he had prepared a static web page, configured the deployment settings, and pushed code to trigger deployment.

For a current setup, use Tencent’s Makers quick-start guide. It documents importing a Git repository, starting from a template, and direct upload. Tencent says a project created through direct upload cannot later be switched to Git integration for automatic deployment, so choose the creation route with the intended workflow in mind.
Tencent describes Makers as a web and agent development and deployment platform on EdgeOne infrastructure, with Git connection, CLI and IDE integrations, serverless functions, and framework integrations. Those product capabilities do not confirm that this specific Laravel/PHP/MySQL application ran as a dynamic service. For this case, the reported deployment was static. Tencent’s descriptions of edge acceleration and intelligent caching are vendor claims; no independent speed, uptime, cost, or performance measurements for Willian’s deployment are provided. Why the first deployment returned 404
Willian reports that his first deployment showed a 404 even though the build succeeded. In his account, the static deployment needed a suitable entry page. He added index.html in the public directory, committed and pushed the change, then launched another deployment, which he says succeeded. This is a specific troubleshooting experience, not a universal diagnosis for every Makers 404. His project account describes the change and result.

A successful build only shows that the build process completed; it does not prove that the deployed URL serves the intended page. If a deployment builds but returns 404, check the configured output directory and entry-file path, inspect deployment logs, and test the public URL. Tencent’s deployment overview documents several access and retention rules. These describe Makers service behavior, not outcomes measured in the 1st Course deployment:
- Pushes to a connected development branch trigger deployments.
- After a successful deployment, a preview access link can be generated and remains valid for three hours.
- Once successful deployment records exceed three, Makers retains artifacts for the three most recent successful deployments and marks older records expired. Expired deployments return HTTP 401; redeploying with the same configuration can restore access.
Because service rules can change, check the current deployment overview before relying on a preview link or older deployment artifact.
Is EdgeOne Makers suitable for a Laravel and MySQL application?
This case does not establish that Makers can or cannot host a complete Laravel/PHP/MySQL application. It establishes that Willian used it to publish a static demonstration. A full deployment of the described project would need an environment that supports the application’s PHP runtime and database, in addition to serving its frontend. Confirm those requirements against current Makers documentation before choosing it for the full system; the feature overview alone does not verify this particular stack’s runtime and database needs.

For an interactive application whose student records, user roles, or financial features depend on server-side Laravel behavior and MySQL data, the static demo is not a substitute for deploying and validating those backend components.
