SteamDB-based reports say the Denuvo Anti-Tamper label disappeared from Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis’ Steam listing in an update on September 30, 2026. That is a reported change to store metadata—not confirmation that Denuvo has been removed from the game or that the PC release will ship without DRM. The title is scheduled for February 12, 2027, and the official material reviewed does not confirm its final DRM setup.
What changed on the Steam listing?
Reports citing SteamDB say the listing stopped naming Denuvo Anti-Tamper in a September 30, 2026 update. One report records the change at 17:30:06 UTC. The reports describe a Steam listing change, not a verified alteration to the game’s executable. Tomb Raider Chronicles and Prima Games covered the change on October 5, 2026.
The SteamDB game record is a dynamic listing, so its current display may not preserve every earlier state. A captured store record listed third-party Denuvo Anti-Tamper; later reports say the label disappeared. Those observations establish what the listing showed at different times, not what will be included in the final release.

That remains unknown. The reported removal could be temporary, and it does not establish whether Denuvo is absent from the final PC build or whether another DRM method will be used. The official game announcement and preorder announcement do not address the listing change. No official confirmation in those materials says the shipping PC version will be Denuvo-free.

Players may have concerns about DRM, but no published performance measurement for Denuvo on this unreleased title is established by the sources reviewed. It would be premature to treat either a performance impact or its absence as a tested fact about this game.
What is Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis?
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is an Unreal Engine 5 reimagining of Lara Croft’s 1996 debut, developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog. Official descriptions point to expanded environments, redesigned puzzles, and a reworked Lost Valley; it is framed as a reimagining rather than a straightforward port. Crystal Dynamics Studio Creative Director Noah Hughes described it as “a true reimagining of the original game.”

What the listing change does—and does not—tell PC players
- It indicates: SteamDB-based reports say the Steam listing no longer named Denuvo Anti-Tamper after its September 30, 2026 update.
- It does not establish: that Denuvo has been removed from the game’s executable, that the final PC build will be Denuvo-free, or that no other DRM will be used.
- Official status: the official announcement and preorder pages reviewed do not confirm a final DRM configuration.
