The Delta TFB1212GHE Extreme is a 12 V, 120 × 120 × 38 mm high-speed fan. Historical product listings put it at about 220 CFM, 4,600 RPM, and 65 dBA, but those are listing specifications—not independent test results. Its thick frame, high reported electrical draw, loud operation, and uncertain current availability make it a specialized choice rather than a routine PC case fan.
Delta TFB1212GHE specifications
The model name appears in Delta’s compliance record, which also lists F00, R00, and STD variants. Retail listings provide the detailed performance figures below, but a Delta datasheet confirming them was not recovered. The suffix matters: do not assume that connector, wiring, or every specification is identical across variants.
| Specification | Reported value | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Model | TFB1212GHE; retailer listing identifies TFB1212GHE-F00 | Delta’s compliance record lists F00, R00, and STD variants. Delta compliance record; Newegg listing. |
| Frame dimensions | 120 × 120 × 38 mm | Retailer-listed dimensions. Newegg; PC Case Gear. |
| Rated voltage | 12 V DC | Shown in Delta’s certification record and retailer listing. Delta; Newegg. |
| Speed | 4,600 RPM | Historical Newegg product listing; not an independent measurement. Newegg. |
| Airflow | About 220 CFM (also listed as 220.01 CFM) | Historical retailer listing and a 2008 forum post repeating a linked specification-sheet figure. Newegg; Hardware Canucks forum. |
| Noise | 65 dBA | Historical listing value; the surfaced source does not establish measurement conditions. Newegg. |
| Current and power | Newegg: 2.45 A and 29.4 W; Coolerguys: 2.94 A and 29.4 W | The current figures conflict. Check the actual fan label or an authoritative datasheet before selecting a controller or power supply. Newegg; Coolerguys. |
| Maximum air pressure | 26.44 mm H₂O | Secondary retailer specification. Newegg. |
| Bearing | Two-ball / ball bearing | Retailer specification. Newegg. |
| Leads and connector | One listing describes three bare wires and a Molex connector arrangement | Confirm the exact fan’s suffix and supplied leads; the listing does not establish wiring for every unit. Newegg. |
Do not read a “2940” entry in Delta’s compliance table as the fan’s operating speed. That record is a certification table, while the historical retailer listing reports 4,600 RPM.
Will it fit your case, radiator, or duct?
The listed 120 mm width and height are not the whole fit check: this fan is 38 mm thick. Compare that depth with the available space, nearby components, mounting hardware, and any shroud or duct before ordering. A standard 25 mm-thick 120 mm fan is not the same physical size.

- High performance cooling fan, 120x120x25 mm, 12V, 4-pin PWM, max. 1700 RPM, max. 25.1 dB(A), >150,000 h MTTF
- Renowned NF-P12 high-end 120x25mm 12V fan, more than 100 awards and recommendations from international computer hardware websites and magazines, hundreds of thousands of satisfied users
- Pressure-optimised blade design with outstanding quietness of operation: high static pressure and strong CFM for air-based CPU coolers, water cooling radiators or low-noise chassis ventilation
- 1700rpm 4-pin PWM version with excellent balance of performance and quietness, supports automatic motherboard speed control (powerful airflow when required, virtually silent at idle)
- Streamlined redux edition: proven Noctua quality at an attractive price point, wide range of optional accessories (anti-vibration mounts, S-ATA adaptors, y-splitters, extension cables, etc.)
Mechanical fit also does not establish suitability for a particular cooling setup. Consider clearance and mounting first, then whether the fan’s airflow and pressure characteristics suit the restriction in your actual application. The reported 220 CFM and 26.44 mm H₂O are listing values, not measurements verified under your system’s conditions.
Power and wiring: verify before connecting
Although the fan is listed for 12 V DC, reported current is inconsistent: Newegg lists 2.45 A, while Coolerguys displays 2.94 A alongside the same 29.4 W figure. Because those current figures do not agree, inspect the label on the specific unit or obtain an authoritative specification for its suffix before choosing a power source or controller.

- High Performance: AC axial fan; Rated Voltage: 110V; Rated Current: 0.35A; Rated Speed: 3000 RPM; High CFM: more than 105 CFM; Noise: 43dBA.
- Dimension: 12cm x 12cm fan or 4.72in (L) x 4.72in (W) x 1.5in (H); the distance between mounting holes is 105mm/4.13in; connector: AC plug integrated with fan, the length is 1500mm or 59 inch.
- Advantage: 55000 hours at normal temperatures, longer than sleeve bearing fan. long lifespan and excellent heat dissipation performance, Aluminum alloy lacquered frame, more stable.
- Package include: 1Pcs Fan, 2pcs fan grill, 4pcs screws & nuts.
- Wide range of applications：radiator fan, ventilation fan, can be used in ice makers, power supplies, refrigerators, motors, drive towers, dehumidifiers, computer cases, CPU, grow tents, coolers, portable dryers, medical equipment, power electronics DIY equipment.
- Do not assume a motherboard fan header or a low-current controller can safely power it.
- Check whether the unit has bare leads, a connector, or an included connector arrangement; one listing describes three bare wires and a Molex arrangement.
- Confirm what each lead does for the exact suffix before wiring. A listing for one variant is not proof of another variant’s pinout or signal support.
How loud is 65 dBA?
The historical listing’s 65 dBA figure indicates that this is a noise-sensitive purchase, not a quiet everyday case-fan choice. The source does not state the measurement distance, environment, or method, so treat 65 dBA as a reported specification rather than a directly comparable lab result. If noise matters in the room where the system will run, weigh that trade-off against the need for high airflow.
