The De’Longhi DD230P is a compressor dehumidifier whose most distinctive feature is a built-in condensate pump for sending collected water through a hose. De’Longhi rates it at up to 30 litres per day, but that figure is a manufacturer rating—not a promise of what it will extract in a particular room. The documented specifications vary by market, and the pump-lift figure differs between De’Longhi’s UK product page and a DD-series manual excerpt.
What is the De’Longhi DD230P?
The DD230P Tasciugo Ariadry is a compressor dehumidifier. De’Longhi’s UK page highlights its humidity and temperature display, washable anti-dust filter, castors, integrated pump and operation at ambient temperatures down to 2°C. These are manufacturer-stated features; the available sources do not establish independent performance testing or long-term reliability.
Check the model code and local product documentation before relying on a specification. De’Longhi’s UK and AE product pages identify different product listings, and the AE page includes electrical and performance figures that should not automatically be applied to units sold elsewhere.

De’Longhi advertises extraction of up to 30 litres in 24 hours. Its AE specification page gives the condition for that rating: 30 L/24 h at 32°C and 80% relative humidity. This is a manufacturer rating under those stated conditions, not an independently measured result or a guarantee of daily extraction in a cooler, drier, or otherwise different space.

The AE listing also specifies airflow of 320 m³/h, noise of 54 dBA, input power of 575 W, refrigerant R290, supply of 220–240 V/50 Hz, and weight of 16.3 kg. Those are regional listing specifications, not universal figures for every DD230P revision. Confirm the rating label and local De’Longhi listing for the unit you are considering. How does the DD230P drain water?
The DD-series instructions describe three condensate options: collect water in the removable tank, drain it continuously by gravity through a hose, or use the pump on pump-equipped models. The pump is the DD230P’s practical differentiator if the drain point is inconveniently placed, but the allowable lift needs checking against the exact unit’s documentation.

Use the tank
With tank collection, remove and empty the tank when it fills. This avoids routing a drain hose, but requires periodic attention during operation.
Use gravity drainage
For continuous gravity drainage, connect a suitable hose and route it down to the drain. The manual says the hose must not kink and its end must not be higher than the appliance outlet; gravity drainage cannot push water uphill.

Use the pump
Connect the pump drain hose and activate the pump as described in the manual. De’Longhi’s UK product page says the heavy-duty pump can discharge across a level difference of up to 5 m and describes a 5 m hose. A DD-series manual excerpt instead says up to 4 m. The available manufacturer materials do not explain the difference, so do not treat the two figures as interchangeable: check the manual for the precise regional model and revision before planning a route near the stated limit. What should you know about operation and maintenance?
The UK page states that an electronic antifreeze device allows operation at ambient temperatures down to 2°C. Treat this as De’Longhi’s stated operating capability, not evidence of a particular extraction rate at that temperature. Follow the manual for the exact unit, including placement: the instructions call for clear space in front for air to leave and space behind for ventilation.

Is the DD230P a good choice?
The documented case for the DD230P is its combination of a manufacturer-rated 30 L/day capacity and pump drainage, with tank and gravity-drain options also described in the DD-series instructions. The pump can make continuous drainage more practical where the discharge route requires lift, but its permitted height must be confirmed for the specific unit. The available evidence does not establish actual extraction in a typical home, measured operating noise, energy cost, room-size suitability, or reliability over time.
