Dell’s first XPS laptop powered by NVIDIA RTX Spark is the XPS 16 Creator Edition. Dell announced a starting preorder price of $3,799.99, positioning it above several other RTX Spark laptops by starting price. Its appeal rests on Dell’s stated 3.2K Tandem OLED display and premium XPS design, alongside a platform aimed at local AI and creative work—not on independently verified performance results.
What is Dell’s first RTX Spark XPS?
The Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition is the first XPS laptop Dell has announced with NVIDIA RTX Spark. Dell describes RTX Spark as a superchip combining a Grace CPU and Blackwell RTX GPU with unified memory and NVIDIA’s CUDA software stack. The company positions the laptop for creators, AI developers, and gamers, including people who want to run AI workloads locally.
Those are vendor descriptions, not independent test findings. NVIDIA’s launch materials frame RTX Spark as a platform for local AI agents, creative workflows, and games, but those claims do not establish how this specific XPS performs in everyday use.
What specifications has Dell announced?
RTX Spark configurations
Dell advertises up to a 20-core Grace CPU, a 6,144-core Blackwell RTX GPU, and 128GB of unified memory for the XPS 16 Creator Edition. These are maximum figures; they should not be assumed for every configuration or market. NVIDIA lists two laptop platform configurations: one with a 20-core CPU, 6,144-core GPU, and up to 128GB LPDDR5X, and another with an 18-core CPU, 5,120-core GPU, and up to 64GB LPDDR5X. NVIDIA lists a 45–80W laptop TDP range for the platform. That is a platform specification, not a measurement of the complete XPS’s power use, battery life, cooling, or performance. NVIDIA also claims the platform can run models up to 120 billion parameters with a 1 million context and describes performance of up to one petaflop FP4. These are NVIDIA claims, not verified results for this Dell laptop or a guarantee across its configurations.

Dell specifies a 3.2K Tandem OLED display, with 100% DCI-P3 coverage, factory calibration to Delta E below 2 with Pantone Validation, peak brightness up to 1,000 nits, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600. Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition worth the premium?
It may suit buyers who specifically want the XPS 16’s stated Tandem OLED display, Dell’s listed card reader and HDMI port, and an RTX Spark system for CUDA-based creative or local AI work. The $3,799.99 starting price is harder to justify if you are shopping primarily for the least expensive RTX Spark laptop, or if the Dell’s exact memory and display configuration does not match what you need.
