A deal report dated October 5, 2026, put Dell’s XPS 13 at $599.99 for a configuration with 8GB of memory and a 512GB SSD, but it identified the offer as part of Best Buy’s Techtober Sale—not Amazon Prime Day. The Best Buy listing checked for this article displayed $699.99, so $599.99 is a reported price, not a confirmed live offer. Check the exact configuration and current checkout price before buying.
What the reported XPS 13 deal includes
Windows Central reported the XPS 13 at $599.99, describing that price as $200 off, for a Core 5 320 model with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. Its October 5, 2026 report also listed a 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD configuration at $799.99, likewise described as $200 off. Those are dated deal prices, not confirmed current prices. Windows Central’s deal report identifies Best Buy’s Techtober Sale as the promotion.
The distinction matters: the headline’s “October Prime Day” wording does not match the cited retailer or event. The Best Buy product listing consulted displayed $699.99 for the 8GB/512GB configuration, while Dell’s page displayed $799.99 for its listed 8GB model. Prices and availability can change, and the pages do not establish that the reported $599.99 offer remains available. Check Best Buy’s listing and confirm the exact SKU, stock, and price at checkout.

Which configuration or platform fits your needs?
Choose between 8GB and 16GB based on your workload
The deal report identifies the two XPS configurations and their reported prices, but it does not establish how either performs under particular workloads. If considering the 8GB model, compare its memory and storage with the requirements of the apps and workload you actually use; do not assume the lower price makes it equivalent to the 16GB model. The cited information does not support a specific performance recommendation.
