Dell’s SE2726HG and SE2726HGS are 27-inch, 1080p gaming monitors rated for refresh rates up to 240Hz. HotHardware reported launch prices of $129.99 and $169.99, respectively, on February 19, 2026. The clearest difference is the stand: the SE2726HG offers tilt adjustment, while the SE2726HGS adds height and swivel adjustment. Those prices are launch-time reports, not confirmed current prices.
What Dell announced
HotHardware reported that Dell had made two affordable 27-inch gaming monitors available: the SE2726HG and SE2726HGS. Both are described in that report as 240Hz displays. HotHardware characterized the refresh rate as “reasonably fast”; that is its description, not an independent test result. Read HotHardware’s February 19, 2026 report.
SE2726HG vs. SE2726HGS: the stand is the main documented difference
| Feature | SE2726HG | SE2726HGS |
|---|---|---|
| Display size and refresh rate | 27 inches; up to 240Hz, as reported by HotHardware | 27 inches; up to 240Hz, as reported by HotHardware |
| Stand adjustment | Tilt adjustment | Tilt, height, and swivel adjustment |
| Launch price reported February 19, 2026 | $129.99, reported by HotHardware | $169.99, reported by HotHardware |
| Detailed manufacturer specifications available in the reviewed sources | Not stated; a corresponding Dell specification sheet was not available in the reviewed material | Dell datasheet lists the specifications below |
The HGS’s extra stand movement may help if you need to set the screen at a particular height or turn it toward another seat. The HG is the simpler tilt-only option. The reported $40 launch-price difference is a dated comparison, not a promise of the current price gap. Dell SE2726HGS documentation.
SE2726HGS specifications Dell lists
Dell’s datasheet describes the HGS as a 27-inch IPS monitor with a maximum preset resolution of 1920×1080 and refresh rate up to 240Hz. It lists typical contrast of 1000:1, typical brightness of 300 cd/m², and typical 99% sRGB coverage. These are manufacturer specifications for the HGS; they should not be assumed to apply to the HG.

What the launch prices and availability do—and don’t—tell you
HotHardware’s February 19, 2026 article reported the monitors as available at that time and gave launch prices of $129.99 for the SE2726HG and $169.99 for the SE2726HGS. Dell’s January 2026 CES announcement covered Alienware products and new UltraSharp monitors, not these SE2726 models. The SE2726 launch details in the cited coverage came later. Dell’s CES 2026 announcement.
What remains unknown
The reported refresh rate and Dell’s HGS specifications are not substitutes for comparative testing. The reviewed sources do not provide independent measurements of motion clarity, input lag, panel uniformity, HDR performance, or real-world image quality for these models. They therefore do not establish which monitor performs better in those areas, or how the HG compares with the HGS beyond the reported stand adjustment difference.
