Start in the Phone app: a call may still appear under Calls or Missed. If it was deleted, Apple’s documented recovery method is restoring the iPhone from a backup made before deletion. You can also check another device where Phone & FaceTime syncing was already enabled, or ask your carrier whether it can provide older call details. Restoring a backup can replace current data, and restoring an iCloud backup to an iPhone that is already set up requires erasing it first.
Check whether the call is still listed

Open the Phone app and tap the filter control above the call list.

Choose Calls to inspect the call list, or Missed to narrow it to missed calls. Labels and layout can vary by iOS version, so use the options shown on your iPhone.

Open the call’s details. In the Unified layout, tap the call or contact; in the Classic layout, tap the More Information control beside the call.

If the entry is no longer in the list, Apple does not document a Recently Deleted folder for call history. Its documented recovery route is a restore from a backup made before the call history was deleted.
Check another Apple device for synced call history
If Phone & FaceTime syncing was enabled before the deletion, check your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Apple says this setting can make the data available across enabled devices. If syncing was off, Apple says the data remains only on that device.

On iPhone, check Settings > [your name] > iCloud, then tap See All on iOS 18 or later, or Show All on iOS 16–17. Look for Phone & FaceTime. Turning syncing on after an entry has been deleted is not documented as a way to recover it; syncing is not a deleted-items archive. Apple also says Phone & FaceTime data is not included in iCloud Backup, so syncing and restoring a backup are different mechanisms.
Restore a backup made before deletion
Apple’s stated recovery rule is to restore the iPhone from a backup created before the call history was deleted. A restore can affect data currently on the iPhone, so consider what has changed since that backup and preserve important current data before proceeding.

Restore from an iCloud backup
If the iPhone is already set up, Apple requires you to erase it before restoring an iCloud backup. This removes the current contents and settings, so do not start unless you are prepared for that consequence.

Confirm that a relevant iCloud backup exists and note its date. Apple recommends comparing the backup’s date and size when choosing one.

If the iPhone is already configured, erase it using the reset options in Settings, then follow the on-screen setup steps.

At the transfer or restore stage, choose to restore from an iCloud backup and select a backup made before the deletion.

Apple warns that setting up an iPhone as new and allowing new backups can overwrite an older saved iCloud backup. Check what backup is available before taking steps that may replace it.
Restore from a computer backup
Apple supports restoring a computer backup using Finder on a Mac, Apple Devices on Windows, or iTunes in applicable older environments. Connect the iPhone to the computer that holds the backup, select the device, and choose Restore Backup. Choose a backup from before the deletion. If it is encrypted, you need its password.

Apple says a carrier may have more information about deleted calls or older call histories. Contact your own carrier and ask whether it can provide the specific dates or details you need. Availability depends on the carrier; Apple does not specify a retention period or guarantee that records will be available.
