To delete browser AutoFill, first identify what is appearing: an address or contact, a payment card, a password, or another form entry. Open that category’s settings to remove one saved item; to stop future suggestions, turn off its autofill option. Those are separate actions, and clearing browser form data may not remove information stored in an account, wallet, or synced service.
Choose what to remove before changing settings
“AutoFill” can refer to several kinds of saved information, and browsers manage them separately. Pick the matching category before deleting anything:
- Addresses or contact details: names, phone numbers, email addresses, and shipping or billing addresses.
- Payment methods: saved credit or debit cards.
- Passwords: saved sign-ins, usually managed separately from form data.
- Other form entries: text saved from fields on websites.
If you want to remove just one record, use its category manager. If you want to erase a broader set of entries, use the browser’s clear-data controls and check the selected categories and time range. To prevent future prompts or filling, switch off the corresponding feature; that does not necessarily delete existing records.

Delete saved autofill information in Google Chrome on a computer
Remove one address or payment method
Open Chrome’s Autofill settings and choose the relevant category to review and remove a particular saved address or payment method. Use the category-specific controls rather than clearing all browsing data when you only want one entry gone. See Google Chrome’s instructions for managing addresses and payment methods.

Clear autofill form data in bulk
- In Chrome, open Delete browsing data.
- Choose the time range you want to clear.
- Open Advanced.
- Select Autofill form data and confirm the deletion.
This checkbox does not delete payment information or addresses stored in Google Pay or Google Wallet. Passwords have a separate management route, so do not assume that clearing autofill form data also removes saved passwords. Google explains the categories and exclusions in its Chrome help for saved addresses and payment methods.
Remove saved addresses or cards in Firefox
Firefox’s labels and settings placement can vary by interface. Look under Settings > Privacy & Security or Settings > Passwords and autofill, then find the matching category. Mozilla says address settings may not be available in every region.

Addresses
Open Addresses and more, then select Manage addresses to edit or remove an individual entry. The same area has a control for saving and filling addresses. Mozilla recommends enabling address autofill only on private computers. See Mozilla’s instructions for automatically filling addresses in web forms.

Find Payment methods in Settings. Turn off saving and filling to stop the feature, or open the payment-method manager to remove a specific card. Firefox also offers an option to require operating-system authentication before payment details are filled or managed. Mozilla recommends payment autofill for private computers only. Manage saved autofill data in Microsoft Edge
Remove a saved address
Go to Settings > Passwords and autofill > Addresses and more to review and manage saved addresses. See Microsoft’s guidance for saved addresses and other autofill data.
Clear form data and choose where it applies
Edge’s clear-browsing-data controls list Autofill form data separately from categories such as passwords. Select only the data you intend to delete. Before confirming, check whether the control is set to clear data on the current device or across synced devices; the choice affects the scope of the removal. Microsoft documents the options in its instructions for viewing and deleting browsing data in Edge.

Delete or disable AutoFill in Safari on Mac
Open Safari > Settings > AutoFill. Safari separates information from Contacts, usernames and passwords, credit cards, and other forms.
- Clear a category’s checkbox to stop that type of AutoFill.
- Use the category’s Edit control to inspect or remove saved entries where available.
- Under Other forms, review websites for which Safari has saved AutoFill information and remove the relevant site entry.
Contact details come from Contacts. If Safari fills an incorrect name or address from that source, correct the relevant contact card rather than treating it as a separate Safari form record. See Apple’s Safari AutoFill guide.

Turn off or remove AutoFill on iPhone and iPad
Contact information and passwords
On iPhone, contact autofill is controlled at Settings > Apps > Safari > AutoFill > Use Contact Info. Password autofill has a separate setting under Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords. Apple documents corresponding contact and password controls for iPad as well. See Apple’s instructions for AutoFill in Safari.
Remove an AutoFill payment card on iPad
- Open Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > AutoFill Cards.
- Authenticate when prompted.
- Select the card, then tap Remove From AutoFill.
Removing a card from AutoFill does not remove it from Apple Pay. Apple says AutoFill cards are saved in iCloud Keychain and available on other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. If your goal is to remove the card’s AutoFill availability everywhere, account for that synced scope. See Apple’s instructions for AutoFill cards.
Check whether the information is stored locally or elsewhere
A browser’s form-data setting may not control every copy of a detail. Chrome’s bulk Autofill form data deletion excludes addresses and payment information stored in Google Pay or Google Wallet. On Apple devices, an AutoFill card and an Apple Pay card are distinct: removing the former does not remove the latter. Sync can also make changes or saved information available across devices, as Edge’s device-versus-synced-device choice and Apple’s iCloud Keychain behavior illustrate.
If the detail remains after you clear a browser category, check the relevant account, wallet, contact source, or sync settings rather than repeating a broad deletion without checking what it affects.
If the menu labels do not match
Browser builds, operating systems, and regions can change where controls appear. Search the browser’s current settings for Autofill or the specific category—such as Addresses, Payment methods, or Autofill form data—and verify the selected data type before confirming a deletion.
