This title refers to a historical Google Play deal roundup published by Chrome Unboxed on June 18, 2020—not a sale confirmed to be active in 2026. The available excerpt says it covered games discounted or free that week for Android phones and Chromebooks, and mentioned that some weekly freebies were also available through Google Play Pass. The original lineup, prices, and offer end dates are not verified, so there is no reliable basis to treat any listed game as currently discounted.

What is This War of Mine?
This War of Mine is a survival game about civilians trying to endure life in a besieged city. Google Play describes a cycle of managing a shelter, crafting and trading during the day, and scavenging at night. The listing identifies “Little Ones” as an in-app purchase and “Stories Ep 1: Father’s Promise” as a standalone experience. Google Play listing for This War of Mine

The Google Play page observed for this article showed a price in Brazilian reais and a Play Pass subscription option; neither observation establishes the price or availability in another country or at another time. The listing labels the game offline and single-player and displays a 2025 update date, but device requirements and compatibility should be checked on the reader’s own device and storefront. How Play Pass offers differ from game sales
Google Play Pass weekly offers refresh each week and may differ by account and region. Google directs users to find them in the Play Store app. A $0 trial or promotional subscription does not qualify for those offers. The 2020 roundup excerpt does not identify which games were Play Pass titles, so it cannot confirm whether any particular game from that article was included. Google Play Help: Play Pass offers
Newer ways to follow or try paid games
In a March 11, 2026 post, Google described wishlisting games for sale alerts, trials for select paid games, and single purchases that include both mobile and PC versions for select games. These features may help users monitor or try eligible paid games, but the post does not establish that a title from the 2020 roundup is discounted today.
