There is no proven overall winner among Corsair, TeamGroup, and Crucial Pro based on brand or rated speed alone. Choose by exact kit: capacity, timings, XMP or EXPO support, fit, motherboard and CPU compatibility, and price. A kit’s advertised DDR5-6000 or DDR5-6400 setting is a profile to enable—not necessarily its default setting.
What the three brands offer
These brands sell different kits at these speeds, so the product names are not enough for a fair comparison. Capacity, timings, profile support, and the exact model number matter.
Corsair Vengeance RGB
Corsair’s Vengeance RGB DDR5 range includes DDR5-6000 and DDR5-6400 options, with variants for AMD EXPO and Intel XMP. The range does not have one specification shared by every kit; compare the exact SKU and capacity. Corsair also cautions that compatibility and rated operation depend on the rest of the system. See Corsair’s Vengeance RGB DDR5 range and its DDR5 compatibility guidance.

TeamGroup T-CREATE Expert and Elite
One listed T-CREATE Expert example is a 96GB (2 × 48GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 kit. Its product page states compatibility with Intel 800- and 700-series and AMD 800- and 600-series platforms. A separate TEAMGROUP Elite example is DDR5-6000 CL48. These are different product lines, capacities, and timings, not a like-for-like test of TeamGroup against another brand.

- Disclaimer: Maximum Speed requires overclocking/PC BIOS adjustments. Maximum speed and performance depend on system components, including motherboard and CPU
- AMD EXPO & Intel XMP 3.0 Compatible Only: Dual memory profiles allow you to easily select optimized settings for your platform, whether you’re running an AMD or Intel processor
- Onboard Voltage Regulation: Enables easier, more finely-tuned, and more stable overclocking through CORSAIR iCUE software than previous generation motherboard control
- Maximum Bandwidth and Tight Response Times: Optimized for peak performance on the latest AMD and Intel DDR5 motherboards
- Hand-Sorted, Tightly-Screened Memory Chips: Ensure consistent high-frequency performance with aggressive timing options
TEAMGROUP says the Elite kit uses its SPD frequency by default unless its XMP or EXPO profile is enabled. Check the exact model’s listing for its specifications and profile details: T-CREATE Expert and Elite DDR5.
Crucial Pro DDR5 Pro OC Gaming
Micron’s Crucial DDR5 Pro OC Gaming material documents a 6400 MT/s version with XMP 3.0 and EXPO support and specifies a timing and voltage configuration for the product. Those details apply to the documented model, not every Crucial Pro kit. Confirm capacity and SKU before comparing it with another kit. Read Micron’s product announcement.

Does DDR5-6400 beat DDR5-6000?
Not automatically. The higher data-rate number alone does not establish that a kit is faster for your workload or a better buy. Compare kits at the same capacity and module count, then consider primary timings, profile type, platform support, stability, and cost. The manufacturer product information cited here does not provide controlled, same-capacity tests across Corsair, TeamGroup, and Crucial Pro, so it cannot establish a brand or speed-tier performance winner.

| Capacity and module count | Compare equivalent configurations, such as two-module kits with the same total capacity. |
| Rated data rate and timings | MT/s is only one part of the specification; check the primary timings, including CAS latency. |
| XMP or EXPO profile | Confirm that the kit offers a profile appropriate to your platform and that your board supports it. |
| Compatibility and physical fit | Check the exact kit against motherboard support information, CPU limits, and space around the cooler or other components. |
| Price and warranty | Compare current listings and terms for the exact SKUs; the product information here does not establish current retailer prices or inventory. |
Will the RAM work with your AMD EXPO or Intel motherboard?
It depends on the exact CPU, motherboard, BIOS, and memory kit. First confirm that the system accepts desktop DDR5 UDIMMs. DDR4 and DDR5 are different motherboard memory types and are not interchangeable. Then check the board maker’s memory support list for the exact kit model and the number of modules you plan to install.

- Capacity: 32GB kit (2 x 16GB)
- Tested Timings: 30-40-40-76
- Feature Overclock: XMP 3.0 / EXPO overclocking supported
- Compatibility: Tested across latest DDR5 platforms for reliability on high performance
- On-Die ECC
For Ryzen systems, AMD’s memory compatibility list identifies kits AMD tested at their rated speed and notes EXPO or XMP support. A kit missing from the list is not thereby proven incompatible; a listed kit is not guaranteed to reach its rated setting in every BIOS or configuration. AMD also describes its EXPO technology and the testing context for those profiles.
Intel’s XMP documentation describes XMP as memory overclocking. Check the CPU, motherboard, and memory makers’ guidance, as well as applicable warranty terms, before enabling a performance profile.

How to choose between the exact kits
- Identify your platform. Note the CPU and motherboard model, and confirm they support desktop DDR5 memory.
- Set capacity and module count. Decide how much memory you need and compare kits with the same capacity and number of modules.
- Check the exact model. Look up the kit’s SKU in the motherboard’s memory support resource; on Ryzen, AMD’s tested-kit list is another reference.
- Match the profile and compare timings. Verify EXPO or XMP support for your platform and compare the full timings, not only the headline MT/s.
- Check fit, price, and terms. Confirm the modules clear nearby components, then compare current prices, availability, and warranty details for those exact kits.
- Enable the profile if desired. If you want the rated profile setting, enable the appropriate memory profile in BIOS/UEFI. Menu names and options vary by motherboard.
What to check if it runs below its rated speed
A module can operate at its SPD default when its performance profile is not enabled. Crucial’s installation guidance instructs users to enable XMP or EXPO in BIOS/UEFI; TEAMGROUP likewise describes profile activation for its Elite example. Consult your board’s manual for the specific menu path, then confirm the applied setting in firmware or system information. See Crucial’s XMP/EXPO setup guidance.
If the system does not boot reliably after changing memory settings, use the motherboard maker’s recovery instructions to restore default memory settings, then check BIOS updates and the board’s support list before trying again. Do not assume that every CPU, motherboard, or module combination will run every advertised profile setting.
