The hounds want a Snowdeer Bone. Isla asks for it during A Direwolf Delicacy, and it comes from Snowdeer, which VGC’s guide says are native to Norgan and common across the region. Here is how to get it and hand it over.
What Isla wants
For A Direwolf Delicacy in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Isla is looking for a Snowdeer Bone. VGC’s quest guide, written by Dave Aubrey and published on 8 October 2026, identifies this as the correct treat. The guide does not give the item a separate name or a second acceptable answer, so the bone is the one to bring.

Where to find Snowdeer
Snowdeer live throughout Norgan rather than in one fixed location, so you are unlikely to be stuck searching for a single spawn. The guide offers one practical place to start: leave the Norgandian Settlement heading north and follow the path that runs along the south edge of the river. Snowdeer are common along that route, but the guide presents it as a suggestion. It does not promise that a deer will appear in any particular spot, so if the first area is empty, keep moving through Norgan.
Getting the Snowdeer Bone
- Head north from the Norgandian Settlement and follow the river path along its south bank.
- Defeat a Snowdeer.
- Examine the Snowdeer’s body to loot the Snowdeer Bone. The guide describes the bone as a rare item when you pick it up, so check the corpse carefully before moving on.
- Return to Isla and give her the bone to complete A Direwolf Delicacy.
If you want to work it out yourself
You do not have to rely on the answer above. Isla gives a hint after each incorrect offering, and according to the guide, offering the wrong item has no consequence. Repeated attempts will eventually lead her to say what the hounds want, so you can use the hints to narrow the choice before you go hunting.

This walkthrough applies to Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the edition named in VGC’s guide. VGC’s general game reference lists Dragon’s Dogma 2 as a Capcom-developed and Capcom-published action role-playing game, with associations to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That reference does not indicate which edition is currently on sale, and its page did not show a publication date. If you are checking whether you can buy or run the Dark Arisen version, confirm availability with Capcom or your storefront before you start.
