Daraz launched its Wallet solution in 2019. In Pakistan, Daraz describes it as a closed-loop digital wallet: customers add funds in the Daraz app and use them to pay for purchases on Daraz, rather than treating the balance as general-purpose cash. Daraz promotes ease and secure payment, but the company sources reviewed do not quantify faster checkout or establish a comparative security advantage.
What is Daraz Wallet?
Daraz’s corporate history lists “Launch of Daraz Wallet solution” in its 2019 timeline, without giving a specific date. Daraz Pakistan calls the service a “closed loop digital wallet.” In its documented Pakistan implementation, a customer activates the wallet in the Daraz app, deposits money, then selects the wallet at checkout.
That description is specific to Pakistan. Daraz operates in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, but the wallet FAQ discussed here is for Pakistan; its funding rules, limits, and refund terms should not be assumed to apply in other markets.

- Open the Daraz app and sign in to your Daraz account.
- Choose “activate & deposit.” Verify the phone number registered to the account using the SMS code.
- Select a deposit method. Daraz Pakistan lists credit or debit card and Easypaisa wallet for online deposits. For cash, choose the Easypaisa Shop option and use the token generated in the app.
- Pay with the wallet at checkout. Select Daraz Wallet as the payment method. The FAQ also says you can add a deposit during checkout if your balance is insufficient.
Daraz Pakistan says wallet use is free and gives Rs. 50,000 as the maximum deposit amount by any method. These are the terms stated on its Pakistan FAQ; check that live FAQ for current funding methods, fees, and limits before depositing.

Can you withdraw money from Daraz Wallet?
Daraz Pakistan distinguishes deposited money from refunds. Deposited funds are for purchases on Daraz; the FAQ says only refunds can be withdrawn. It also says a cash-on-delivery refund can be directed to the Daraz Wallet. This makes the service different from a bank account or an unrestricted cash wallet.
Is Daraz Wallet faster or more secure?
Daraz positions Wallet as an easy and secure payment option. The company information reviewed here does not provide measured checkout-time results or a comparison showing that Wallet is more secure than cards, cash on delivery, Easypaisa, or JazzCash. It also does not document wallet-specific security architecture or fraud outcomes. Treat “quicker” and “secure” as Daraz’s positioning, not independently verified performance or a guarantee.

How it compares with other Daraz Pakistan payment options
Daraz Pakistan lists cards, cash on delivery, installment payments, Daraz Wallet, Easypaisa, and JazzCash among payment options. The practical distinction established by the wallet FAQ is that Wallet uses a prepaid balance restricted to Daraz, while cash on delivery is collected when an order arrives. The sources do not establish a reliable speed or security ranking among these methods.
What the available usage figures do—and do not—show
Daraz’s corporate “What we do” page says the Wallet has 7 million registered users and accounts for one-third of prepaid transactions, but the page does not state when those figures were measured. They should not be read as current figures. Separately, Daraz said in an October 2021 press release that it was collaborating with 15 payment partners ahead of that year’s 11.11 sale; this was a dated campaign initiative, not a current partner count or evidence of Wallet’s present features.
