Cyberhaven announced a $100 million Series D on April 2, 2025, led by StepStone Group, with Schroders and Industry Ventures joining as new investors. The company said the round valued it at $1 billion and brought its total funding to $250 million. That figure is a private-company valuation announced in connection with the financing—not a public-market capitalization or an independently established estimate of fair value.
What Cyberhaven does
Cyberhaven describes itself as an enterprise AI and data security company. Its stated approach centers on data lineage: tracing where data originates, how it moves and changes, and where it may be exposed. The company says it uses AI to analyze data-movement information so organizations can identify and respond to risks. This is Cyberhaven’s description of its platform, not an independently verified assessment of product effectiveness. The April 2, 2025 announcement said the financing would support acquisitions, product innovation, and go-to-market expansion.
What the $1 billion valuation means
The $1 billion figure is the valuation Cyberhaven announced for the private company in connection with its Series D. It does not represent a public share price or market capitalization. The announcement and the company’s later update do not disclose the valuation method, detailed share-class economics, or an independent fair-value analysis.
In a February 10, 2026 company update, Cyberhaven again described the Series D as a $100 million round at a $1 billion valuation. That reaffirmed the historical financing announcement; it did not establish a newer valuation. The update also reported more than 50% customer growth during the fiscal year ending January 31, 2026, and triple-digit growth over the prior year. Those are company-reported claims; the release gave no specific revenue-growth percentage.

Who led the round and what Cyberhaven said it would fund
StepStone Group led the financing. Schroders and Industry Ventures were identified as new investors. Cyberhaven said it would use the capital for mergers and acquisitions, organic product development, and expansion of its go-to-market efforts.
At the time of the announcement, then-CEO Howard Ting described the company’s goal as building a data security platform for difficult enterprise security challenges. StepStone partner Seyonne Kang compared the moment in data security to the rise of endpoint detection and response a decade earlier. These statements reflect the executives’ and investor’s views, not independent findings about Cyberhaven’s market position.
