CyberFOX has acquired Optimize365, a Microsoft 365 security posture management product, and says it will add continuous tenant monitoring and hardening to its existing security portfolio. The company announced the deal on October 8, 2026. It did not disclose the purchase price or any revenue figures.

What CyberFOX announced

CyberFOX describes itself as a cybersecurity software provider for IT teams. Its announcement frames the acquisition as a way to extend coverage across endpoint and cloud environments, specifically the configuration, permission, and security-setting changes that IT teams have to track in Microsoft 365. That rationale is CyberFOX’s own. The announcement does not show that the acquisition improves security outcomes for any customer.

The deal follows CyberFOX’s June 2026 acquisition of SASE provider Timus Networks. The announcement also refers to a “nine-figure growth investment” led by Level Equity and Radian Capital in February 2026. CyberFOX did not give an exact amount, so no figure for the investment, the Optimize365 price, or any expected revenue impact can be drawn from the announcement.

CyberFOX’s chief executive, David Bellini, framed the move this way: “IT teams are facing an increasingly complex access attack surface, from endpoints and identities to Microsoft 365 and beyond. Our goal is to give them a comprehensive suite of security platforms that protects the full access attack surface, without adding more complexity.” Adam Slutskin, the company’s Chief Revenue Officer, said Optimize365 “expands what CyberFOX can deliver to these teams.” Both statements are company positioning rather than independent assessment.

What Optimize365 does, according to CyberFOX

CyberFOX’s product page calls Optimize365 a Microsoft 365 security posture management platform. Every capability below is a vendor-described feature. None has been independently verified or benchmarked in the sources available for this announcement.

Baseline checks and drift detection

The product measures Microsoft 365 settings against CIS, NIST, or custom baselines. It is designed to detect configuration drift, meaning settings that have moved away from the approved state over time. CyberFOX describes this as continuous monitoring rather than a periodic scan.

Impact prediction, remediation, and rollback

According to CyberFOX, the platform predicts which users, devices, apps, and services a proposed change could affect before it is applied. It supports automated remediation and control-level rollback, so a single control can be reverted without undoing unrelated changes. Impact visibility before a change is the feature that matters most for administrators who worry about breaking sign-in or collaboration workflows, and it is also the claim that is hardest to confirm without testing in a real tenant.

Control evidence and framework mapping

The product generates control evidence and maps settings to compliance frameworks. For teams that must show auditors how a control is enforced, this is the part of the product that replaces manual screenshots and spreadsheets. The page does not say which frameworks are supported beyond the baselines named above.

License intelligence

CyberFOX says Optimize365 flags licensing gaps, along with unused or dormant licenses. This is a cost-control feature rather than a security control, and it sits alongside the posture work because licensing determines which security features a tenant can actually use.

What the acquisition adds to CyberFOX’s lineup

Before this deal, CyberFOX’s portfolio covered privileged access management, password management, AI-powered DNS filtering, and Zero Trust Network Access. CyberFOX’s announcement also describes its endpoint, identity, credential, and connectivity products. Optimize365 is the first item in that list aimed squarely at the Microsoft 365 tenant, which is the layer where many identity and configuration changes are made.

The practical question for an IT team is whether one vendor covering endpoint, identity, and cloud configuration is easier to run than several specialist tools. CyberFOX presents it that way. Whether it is easier depends on how the tools integrate in your environment, which the announcement does not describe in detail.

What changes for existing Optimize365 customers and partners

CyberFOX says Optimize365 will continue under its own brand within the portfolio “in the near term.” It states that existing Optimize365 partners and customers will see no disruption to service, support, or contracts.

How to evaluate a Microsoft 365 posture tool

Whether Optimize365 or any similar product fits your environment depends on the questions below. Use them to test the vendor’s claims against your own tenant before you rely on automated remediation.

  • Baselines: confirm that the CIS, NIST, or custom baseline you need is supported, and that a custom baseline can be imported or built without vendor help.
  • Monitoring cadence: find out how often drift is checked and how alerts are delivered, so you know whether “continuous” means minutes or hours.
  • Impact visibility: run a proposed change against a test group and confirm the predicted affected users and services match what actually breaks.
  • Remediation and rollback: test rollback on a single control, and confirm that the rollback restores the previous state without touching unrelated settings.
  • Audit evidence: check that the exported evidence matches the framework your auditor uses.
  • Licensing visibility: compare the license report with your actual Microsoft 365 agreement before acting on any “unused” flag.
  • Deployment model: decide whether you need a single-organization tenant or an MSP-managed setup with multiple tenants, and confirm the product supports that model.

If you already use CyberFOX products, the deal is most relevant to how you manage access across endpoints and identities. If you run Microsoft 365 without another posture tool, the checklist above is the right starting point regardless of which vendor you choose.
