Features that may affect the decision
All listed tiers include the REST API, Zapier, Make.com, and Bubble.io integrations. Team collaboration, bring-your-own storage, and PDF passwords begin at Professional. The pricing page lists DPA availability from Lite upward. If you exceed Business, CraftMyPDF says to contact it about volume pricing, SLA, render region, and storage options.
What “unlimited templates” must mean
Ask the vendor to define the word in writing. An unlimited claim can still hide a limit on:

- retention period, storage volume, or regional data location;

For procurement, request the exact plan URL, the billing unit, overage policy, and the contract language that applies if your catalog grows. “Unlimited” should describe storage capacity, not generation volume or operational usage unless the provider explicitly says so.
Alternatives: what can actually be confirmed
CraftMyPDF’s alternatives directory names DocuSign, SignEasy, Nutrient, DocRaptor, PDF Noodle, Templated, PDFMonkey, PDF Generator API, Bannerbear, Airtable Page Designer, and Documint. That list identifies products to investigate; it does not establish that any of them offers unlimited templates or the same PDF-generation workflow. Orshot: a lead, not a verified answer
A recent Orshot-authored search result claims unlimited templates on every plan and contrasts that with CraftMyPDF quotas. The underlying page could not be opened, so its current template policy, generation limits, prices, and other plan terms are unverified. Confirm the statement directly in Orshot’s current plan documentation before relying on it in a migration or purchase.

Count production, draft, archived, localized, and white-label variants separately. Record the number of active templates, expected growth over 12–24 months, average output pages, peak jobs per minute, and the teams that must edit or approve them.
2. Separate storage from generation
Ask how a provider counts a generated document: per request, page, image, operation, or credit. Test a multi-page PDF, a failed render, a retry, and an asynchronous job. Clarify whether cache hits, previews, and test renders consume quota.
3. Verify API behavior
Check authentication, regional endpoints, synchronous and asynchronous modes, job polling, webhooks, idempotency, rate limits, retries, error payloads, template versioning, and asset uploads. 4. Check integrations and editing

Ask where source data, uploaded assets, and generated files are stored; which render regions are available; how deletion works; and which DPA, security, retention, and subprocessors documents apply to your plan. A low template price is not a saving if your compliance requirements force a higher tier.
6. Model total cost
Calculate recurring subscription, generation overages, storage, seats, premium support, and migration work. Compare annual and monthly billing separately. If the provider cannot state what happens after a quota is reached, treat the cost as unknown rather than assuming unlimited output.
Migration plan for a growing template library
- Export and classify. Preserve source files, fonts, images, data schemas, and current template IDs. Mark dependencies such as custom assets and conditional fields.

The provider says “unlimited,” but your import stops
Check whether the limit applies per workspace, active template, asset, or API environment. Ask support to identify the exact counter and request a written exception or higher quota.
Generation costs rise after migration
Compare credit rules using identical documents. A multi-page file may be one credit at CraftMyPDF but page-based elsewhere; previews, retries, or failed jobs may also count.
Outputs do not match
Check font licensing and substitution, image URLs, page-break rules, locale, timezone, and conditional-field syntax. Keep the representative test set and visual diffs from the migration plan.
API calls time out
