Cracked Crystal is a rarity 9 ore gathered in the Wildspire region of the Guiding Lands in Monster Hunter: World: Iceborne. Kiranico’s version 15.11 database lists three Master Rank gathering entries for it and recipes for armor and layered equipment, but no weapon recipes.
Where to get Cracked Crystal
Go to the Wildspire region of the Guiding Lands and gather from its mining outcrops. The item description identifies the Wildspire region as its source, and Kiranico lists these Master Rank acquisition entries for The Guiding Lands:

These are the entries in Kiranico’s game database, version 15.11; they are not a guarantee of what a single gathering attempt will yield. The database entry does not identify exact outcrop coordinates or state a Wildspire region-level requirement, so there is no supported node number or level threshold to follow.
What Cracked Crystal is used for
Kiranico’s item page lists no weapon recipes. It does list the following armor and layered equipment requirements:

The quantities are the per-recipe amounts listed on the item page. For the five Diablos α pieces or the five Diablos β pieces, that works out to 10 Cracked Crystals for a full set of the listed layered pieces.
Item details and names to keep distinct
The database describes Cracked Crystal as ore from the Guiding Lands’ Wildspire region, crystallized by subterranean energy. It is rarity 9, has a maximum stack of 99, and has a listed in-game buy value of 8,000z and sell value of 800z. These are game values, not real-world prices; the 800z sale value is also corroborated by Monster Hunter Wiki.

Cracked Crystal is a specific item name. Do not confuse it with Wasteland Crystal or Serene Crystal, which are separately listed materials with their own entries.
