CPU-Z 2.10’s July 9, 2024 changelog lists the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 with 4 Zen 5 cores and 8 Zen 5c cores, and the Ryzen AI 9 365 with 4 Zen 5 cores and 6 Zen 5c cores. That works out to 12 cores for the HX 375 and 10 for the 365. The entry identifies those two models; it is not a complete catalog of the Ryzen AI 300 family.

What CPU-Z 2.10 says

CPUID’s CPU-Z 2.10 changelog, dated July 9, 2024, adds support for two Strix Point APUs and gives their core splits:

“AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 (4x Zen 5 + 8x Zen 5c), Ryzen AI 9 365 (4x Zen 5 + 6x Zen 5c) Strix Point APUs.”

The notation separates the two core types. Adding each pair gives the total core count:

Ryzen AI 9 365 4 6 10 CPUID changelog, July 9, 2024

AMD had described the Ryzen AI 300 family at launch as offering up to 12 CPU cores and 24 threads. The HX 375’s 12-core split matches that launch maximum; the 365’s listed split totals 10 cores. Core counts alone do not establish how these processors compare in performance.

How to read the Zen 5 + Zen 5c split

In the changelog, the figures before and after the plus sign are counts of two core types, not separate processor models. For example, “4x Zen 5 + 8x Zen 5c” means four Zen 5 cores and eight Zen 5c cores, for 12 CPU cores in total. The 365 entry uses the same four Zen 5 cores but lists six Zen 5c cores, for 10 total.

The entry labels both chips “Strix Point APUs.” That label applies to the two models in this changelog entry; it should not be extended automatically to every later processor carrying the Ryzen AI 300 name.

Why the changelog is not a complete Ryzen AI 300 catalog

CPU-Z 2.10 records the models named in a software support update published in July 2024. AMD’s portfolio grew afterward. In a January 6, 2025 portfolio announcement, AMD listed the Ryzen AI 7 350 at 8 cores and 16 threads and the Ryzen AI 5 340 at 6 cores and 12 threads, saying they joined previously announced Ryzen 9 models.

  • Octa-core (8 Core) processor core allows multitasking with great reliability and fast processing speed
  • 8 MB L2 plus 96 MB L3 cache memory provides excellent hit rate in short access time enabling improved system performance

Another later example is the Ryzen AI 7 345. AMD’s product specifications list 2 Zen 5 cores and 4 Zen 5c cores, totaling 6 cores and 12 threads. AMD identifies its former codename as Krackan Point, distinct from the Strix Point wording CPUID used for the HX 375 and 365. These later examples show why a dated changelog entry should be read as support information for named processors, not as an evergreen family-wide specification list.

What the entry does—and does not—establish

  • It establishes: the core-type split CPUID listed for the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 and Ryzen AI 9 365 in CPU-Z 2.10.
  • It does not establish: that those are the only Ryzen AI 300 processors, or that their different core counts alone determine their relative performance.

For the launch-era question “How many Zen 5 and Zen 5c cores does each model have?”, the changelog’s answer is 4 + 8 for the HX 375 and 4 + 6 for the 365. For other models, use their own dated specifications rather than extrapolating from this entry.
