WOW Membership is most likely worth it if you regularly use several eligible Coupang services—especially small Rocket Delivery orders, covered-area Rocket Fresh groceries, participating Coupang Eats restaurants, or Coupang Play content you want to watch. The latest explicit official fee change located set the price at ₩7,890 per month for new members from April 13, 2024, but Coupang pages have since shown conflicting prices. Check the fee displayed in your account before subscribing.
What does Coupang WOW Membership include?
WOW is a paid, automatically renewing monthly membership for Coupang shoppers in South Korea. It bundles benefits across eligible shopping, grocery delivery, video streaming, and food delivery services. The benefits depend on the item, address, store, and content—not every Coupang purchase or service qualifies.

Rocket Delivery
Members can get free shipping on eligible Rocket Delivery items, including qualifying single-item orders. For a change of mind, the FAQ says unused Rocket Delivery goods qualify for free returns within 30 days. That return benefit does not apply to Rocket Fresh or Rocket Overseas items. See Coupang’s WOW Membership FAQ for the current terms.
Delivery speed depends on the listing: eligible items may carry a next-dawn delivery guarantee, while items marked “today arrival” may be delivered the same day. Check the promise shown for each item rather than assuming all Rocket Delivery orders arrive at the same speed.
#1 Best Overall
- Get thousands of restaurants, convenience stores, pet stores, grocery stores, gifts, and more at your fingertips.
- Easy ordering, order customizations, and real-time tracking
- Pickup, group order, and scheduled delivery options available
- No returns and no refunds on gift cards.
Rocket Fresh groceries
Rocket Fresh offers dawn delivery where available, with a ₩15,000 minimum order. Coverage is restricted by delivery area, so an address may not qualify even if the service appears elsewhere on Coupang. Confirm availability and the minimum in the app for your address.
Coupang Play
WOW members receive special Coupang Play benefits, but this does not mean every title is included. Coupang says some content is restricted to WOW members, while some requires an additional pass; the FAQ also says the service is available to Coupang members and excludes Coupang Biz from the WOW benefit. Check the title’s access requirements before treating Play as a fully included streaming catalog. See the Coupang Play FAQ.

Be cautious of phishing sites, there are a variety of scams in which fraudsters try to trick others into paying with gift cards.
- To report your Lost or Stolen Physical Visa Card, call Customer Service 24/7 at 1 (888) 524-1283 to cancel your Gift Card as soon as you can. You will be asked to provide the Gift Card number and other identifying information.
- Use your Visa Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, including online.
Coupang Eats
The WOW FAQ lists free delivery on eligible Coupang Eats orders. It is limited to participating stores and depends on location and time, so it is not a blanket free-delivery offer at every restaurant.

Member deals and a temporary Coupang Cash offer
WOW includes member-only deals. Coupang’s signup page also describes a first-30-day reward of up to 5% Coupang Cash when purchases are paid with Coupay Money, with a maximum of ₩50,000. This is a conditional promotion, not ongoing cash back; the signup page warns that the event can end without prior notice. Confirm that it is still available and review its conditions before counting it toward the membership’s value. See Coupang’s membership signup page.

How much does WOW cost?
The latest explicit official fee change located states ₩7,890 per month for new members joining from April 13, 2024, with existing members transitioned later. However, a Coupang corporate article dated April 7, 2025 states ₩4,990 per month. The accessible FAQ and signup-page text do not settle the discrepancy: neither exposes a definitive current price in the information available here.
Because of that conflict, do not assume either figure is the price you will pay today. Verify the monthly fee shown on the signup or account screen before confirming. Coupang says the fee is charged automatically each month to the registered payment method on the same calendar day.

Is WOW worth it for you?
Decide based on benefits you would actually use, not the headline size of the bundle. Compare the value of eligible services you would otherwise pay for with the fee displayed to you. Leave out services unavailable at your address, streaming content that requires another pass, temporary promotions, and perks you would not use without the membership.
- It may suit frequent Coupang shoppers who often order eligible Rocket Delivery items and value free shipping on orders they would otherwise place.
- It may suit grocery shoppers if Rocket Fresh covers their address and their orders meet the ₩15,000 minimum.
- It may suit regular Eats customers if participating restaurants near them offer the eligible delivery benefit at the times they order.
- It may suit viewers who want the Coupang Play content available through WOW and are comfortable checking which titles need an extra pass.
- It may not suit occasional users who would rarely use eligible benefits or whose preferred services are unavailable locally.
Coupang’s 2024 press release estimated average annual savings of ₩970,000 for WOW members assumed to use five listed services regularly, or about ₩870,000 when excluding the membership fee. Coupang said the estimate used Statistics Korea and other institutional data and assumed typical customer spending. These are Coupang’s modeled estimates, not an independent audit or a prediction of an individual member’s savings. See Coupang’s 2024 estimate and methodology description.

What happens if you cancel?
Coupang’s FAQ says members can cancel at any time. Whether the current month’s fee is refunded depends on benefit use:
- If you have not used a benefit in that month, Coupang says it refunds the monthly fee. A refund may take up to seven days, or up to 14 days for some overseas cards.
- If you have used a benefit, the fee for that month is not refunded. Your benefits remain available through the scheduled end date.
Since the fee is recurring, an unexpected monthly charge may be the membership renewal rather than a charge tied to a particular order. Check your membership status and billing date in your Coupang account, then cancel there if you no longer want it.
