Possibly, but 192MB is a leak-based design rumor—not an AMD-confirmed specification for a Ryzen 10000X3D processor. The reported configuration would stack two 96MB 3D V-Cache layers to add 192MB of cache per chiplet. AMD has confirmed that Zen 6 is in development and has an established Ryzen 3D V-Cache product line, but it has not confirmed a Ryzen 10000X3D model or its cache configuration.
What does the 192MB 3D V-Cache rumor mean?
ComputerBase and Hardwareluxx reported in 2025 on leak-based claims that a Zen 6 gaming processor could use two 96MB V-Cache layers. If implemented as described, those layers would add up to 192MB of cache per chiplet.
| Rumored configuration | What the figure describes | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 96MB | Cache in one reported V-Cache layer | Leak-based reporting by ComputerBase and Hardwareluxx in 2025; not an AMD-confirmed consumer specification |
| Two 96MB layers | 192MB of added cache per chiplet, if both layers are used as reported | Rumor; the consumer implementation is uncertain |
The 192MB figure is reported as added cache per chiplet. It should not be read as confirmed total cache for an entire processor, or as a verified specification for a retail CPU.

Is Zen 6 X3D real, and what has AMD confirmed?
AMD has officially identified Zen 6 in its roadmap and event material. Its CES 2026 distribution deck names Zen 6 CPU cores. AMD’s Advancing AI 2025 presentation describes EPYC Venice as a 2nm Zen 6 server product planned for 2026, with up to 256 cores. Those are server-roadmap details; they do not confirm a Zen 6 Ryzen gaming processor or its specifications.
#1 Best Overall
- The world’s fastest gaming processor, built on AMD ‘Zen5’ technology and Next Gen 3D V-Cache.
- 8 cores and 16 threads, delivering +~16% IPC uplift and great power efficiency
- 96MB L3 cache with better thermal performance vs. previous gen and allowing higher clock speeds, up to 5.2GHz
- Drop-in ready for proven Socket AM5 infrastructure
- Cooler not included
AMD’s 2024 Form 10-K says Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 5000 include models with 3D V-Cache aimed at gaming enthusiasts. That documents an existing Ryzen product strategy, not a promise about a particular future model.
Tom’s Hardware reported on March 9, 2025, that leaked information pointed to Zen 6 gaming Ryzen processors retaining 3D V-Cache. This is reporting about leaks, not an AMD product announcement. Together, AMD’s statements establish Zen 6 development and a history of Ryzen X3D models; they do not establish a Ryzen 10000X3D product.
Rank #2
- The world's fastest gaming desktop processor and first gaming processor with 3D stacking technology
- 8 Cores and 16 processing threads with AMD 3D V-Cache technology
- 4.5 GHz Max Boost, 100 MB cache, DDR4-3200 support
- For the advanced Socket AM4 platform, can support PCIe 4.0 on X570 and B550 motherboards
- Cooler not included, high-performance cooler recommended
What is not known about Ryzen 10000X3D?
The cited AMD material and leak reporting do not establish a consumer Ryzen 10000X3D release date, price, retail listing, independent benchmark, or official cache specification. They also do not confirm the exact model name, core or thread count, or whether a consumer chip would use one V-Cache layer, two layers, or another configuration.
In particular, EPYC Venice’s reported maximum of 256 cores is a server roadmap figure. It cannot be used to infer the core count of a Ryzen 10000 desktop processor.
Rank #3
- Can deliver ultra-fast 100+ FPS performance in the world's most popular games, discrete graphics card required
- 8 Cores and 16 processing threads, based on AMD "Zen 3" architecture
- 4.6 GHz Max Boost, unlocked for overclocking, 36 MB cache, DDR4-3200 support
- For the advanced Socket AM4 platform, can support PCIe 4.0 on X570 and B550 motherboards
- Cooler not included
Should you wait for Zen 6 or buy a Ryzen 9800X3D?
There is not enough confirmed information in these reports to compare an unannounced Zen 6 X3D processor with a Ryzen 9800X3D on performance, price, availability, power, or platform compatibility. A rumored cache capacity alone does not show how a processor will perform in games or whether it will be a better purchase.
