The Ryobi 18V ONE+ Outdoor Patio Cleaner is designed to scrub dirt, moss and mildew from smooth outdoor surfaces such as tile patios and decking. It may help make a neglected patio more inviting, but the title’s first-person claim cannot be verified: the exact model and any personal test are not established. Check the model and brush in the product listing before buying, because Ryobi sells different patio-cleaning tools for different jobs in the US and UK.
Which Ryobi patio cleaner is the one described?
For surface cleaning in the United States, Ryobi lists the 18V ONE+ Outdoor Patio Cleaner, model P2904BTL. Ryobi says it uses a rotating brush to scrub dirt, moss and mildew and is intended for smooth surfaces such as tile patios and decking. It can be used with water or cleaning solutions. The listing offers tool-only and battery-and-charger configurations; check the selected option rather than assuming the advertised tool price includes a battery.
This is not the same product as Ryobi’s US P2905BTL wire-brush patio cleaner. Its accessories include replacement wire brush ACWB1 as well as scouring, universal and wood-scrubbing brushes. Confirm compatibility and suitability for your patio before choosing a brush.

The P2904BTL’s stated purpose is scrubbing surface dirt, moss and mildew from smooth outdoor areas. The UK RY18PCC-0 has a different emphasis: Ryobi markets it as a wire-brush cleaner for weeds, grass and moss between bricks and paving slabs. The two models are regional products, and the UK specifications should not be treated as specifications for the US P2904BTL.

For context, Ideal Home reviewer Lisa Fazzani described using a cordless Ryobi patio cleaner around paving slabs, pointing and brick edging in a review published on 7 July 2026. That is her account, not evidence that the author of this article used the same tool or that it will perform identically on every patio.

The 1,300 rpm and up-to-32-minute claims apply to the UK RY18PCC-0 only. Ryobi’s UK page phrases the runtime claim as: “Using a 2.0Ah battery (Not Included), the RYOBI RY18PCC-0 can run for up to 32 minutes on a single charge”. It is a manufacturer specification, not a guaranteed runtime for every surface or cleaning task.

Choose the brush for the surface—and verify the fit
- Smooth surface grime: The US P2904BTL is the model Ryobi describes for smooth patios and decking. Follow the product instructions for the surface and cleaning solution.
- Growth in paving joints: The UK RY18PCC-0 is marketed for weeds, grass and moss between paving. A wire brush may not suit every paving material or joint; verify the surface guidance before use.
- Softer stone or porcelain: Ryobi UK lists a gentle nylon RAC818 brush for substrates including sandstone, limestone and porcelain. The cited information does not establish that this UK accessory fits US models.
- Replacement brushes: Ryobi US lists ACWB1 for the P2905BTL. Match the accessory to the exact tool model rather than relying on a similar product name.
Check the battery and charger before comparing prices
Ryobi’s US P2904BTL listing displays $99 and offers more than one configuration, including tool-only and a 2Ah battery/charger option. The displayed price is a listing detail accessed in 2026, not a fixed or guaranteed price. In the UK, Ryobi displays £94.99 for the RY18PCC-0 bare tool, which excludes the battery and charger; the page also lists battery-included variants. Compare the contents of the selected SKU, not just the headline price.
If you already own a compatible battery, a bare tool may be the relevant option. If not, include the cost of a battery and charger in your comparison. Do not assume a battery or accessory is interchangeable across regional listings without checking the model and compatibility information.
