PC Gamer reported the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE at Amazon for $69.99, down from $139.99, on October 6, 2026. That is the dated basis for the “half price” claim; the listing, price, and stock may have changed, and a live Amazon offer was not independently verified. The mouse is aimed at MMO players who want many thumb-accessible controls for games such as World of Warcraft, but its 114 g weight and side-button layout are not a fit for everyone.
What was the Prime Day offer?
PC Gamer’s Andy Edser reported the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE for $69.99 at Amazon on October 6, 2026, compared with a listed price of $139.99. Those are the prices in that dated Prime Day report, not a guarantee of what Amazon charges now. Read PC Gamer’s deal report and check the current listing and availability before buying.
Why choose an MMO mouse?
MMO mice put multiple controls under the thumb so players can bind abilities, items, or other commands without moving a hand from the mouse. The Scimitar Elite Wireless SE has 16 buttons in total, including an adjustable 12-button side plate. That layout can be useful if you regularly use many keybinds in World of Warcraft or another MMO; it is less compelling if you rely on only a few mouse buttons or prefer a simpler grip.

A strong candidate for MMO keybinds
The adjustable side plate and 12 thumb buttons make the mouse worth considering if you want many controls close to hand. PC Gamer’s article names it its best MMO gaming mouse pick and cites comfort and button usefulness as strengths. Its review quotation describes a mouse that can do things the reviewer’s other mice cannot while remaining comfortable and responsive; that assessment is the reviewer’s, not a universal fit guarantee.

Potential drawbacks
- Weight: At 114 g, it is relatively heavy. If you prefer a light mouse or make frequent, fast movements, that may be a meaningful trade-off.
- Button placement: A dense side-button grid demands thumb reach and practice. It may not suit left-handed players, or anyone who finds a crowded side panel uncomfortable.
- More controls than you need: If your games use few mouse keybinds, a simpler mouse may be easier to use.
What to check before buying

- Decide whether the 114 g weight is acceptable for your play style.
- Choose among 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C based on how you plan to connect the mouse; the cited article gives no connection-specific battery-life breakdown.
