The Corsair K70 CORE RGB is a full-size, wired mechanical keyboard with a number pad, linear switches and a multifunction dial. It is a plausible fit if you want those features and use a USB Type-A connection; the available manufacturer information does not establish its real-world typing feel, sound, durability or performance against other keyboards.
What kind of keyboard is the K70 CORE?
CORSAIR lists the K70 CORE RGB as a 104-key, full-size keyboard with a wired USB Type-A connection. The layout includes a number pad, so it suits a desk setup where that extra key area is useful. If you want a compact board or wireless connectivity, this model’s listed configuration does not match that preference. CORSAIR’s US product listing gives these specifications.
How are the switches and controls described?
MLX Red switches
CORSAIR specifies MLX Red linear mechanical switches. Linear describes the switch type; it does not by itself establish whether the board will feel or sound right to a particular typist. CORSAIR characterizes the switches as “Silky smooth and responsive,” but that is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent test result. The product listing and CORSAIR’s launch announcement provide the manufacturer’s descriptions.
Rotary dial and onboard profiles
CORSAIR describes a multifunction rotary dial and onboard storage for up to five profiles. The product page also lists iCUE support. These features may matter if you want dial-based controls or settings stored on the keyboard, but the specifications alone do not establish how convenient they are in everyday use. CORSAIR’s feature description is the source for these details.

What are the build and sound features?
CORSAIR describes an aluminum top plate and two sound-dampening foam layers. Those are construction features, not proof of a particular sound profile: no independent sound measurements or listening tests are established here. The product page also describes a magnetic palm-rest feature, but its technical specifications say a wrist rest is not included. Check the exact color, SKU and package contents before buying if a palm rest is important to you. The black listing and the steel-gray listing contain the relevant product and configuration information.
Compatibility and specifications
The manufacturer lists PC and Mac compatibility with a USB 3.0 or 3.1 Type-A port. Its stated operating-system requirements are Windows 10 or macOS 10.15 and later. Downloading iCUE requires an internet connection, according to the product listing.

Who should consider it?
- Consider it if you want a full-size wired keyboard, need a number pad, and are interested in linear switches and CORSAIR’s dial and iCUE features.
- Look elsewhere if you need a wireless keyboard or a compact layout.
- Try to assess the feel and sound in person if those are decisive: the manufacturer descriptions do not establish how the keyboard will suit you, and no independent test results are available here.
Price and package checks
When retrieved in 2026, CORSAIR’s US black listing showed $79.99 against an original price of $99.99; the indexed steel-gray listing showed the same figures.
