The CORSAIR CLIPPER PRO MINI 60 is a wired 60% gaming keyboard built around adjustable Hall Effect switches. Its standout features are configurable actuation and several input-behavior controls; its main trade-off is the compact layout, which removes dedicated keys some players and typists rely on. CORSAIR publishes the specifications, while the hands-on impressions below are attributed to GamesRadar+—this article does not independently test the keyboard.
What the CLIPPER PRO MINI 60 offers
CORSAIR describes the CLIPPER PRO MINI 60 as a wired 60% keyboard with MGX Hyperdrive Core magnetic switches. The company lists PC, Mac, and Xbox One compatibility. Its CORSAIR WEB HUB software requirements are Windows 10 or macOS 10.15. Check the product listing for your region because CORSAIR’s page indicates that layout and SKU codes can differ. A 60% layout takes up less desk space than a full-size keyboard, but it does so by leaving out dedicated keys. CORSAIR says secondary functions are printed on the sides of the keycaps. That arrangement may work well for someone comfortable using key combinations; it is a meaningful compromise if your games, work, or shortcuts depend on having more keys immediately available.

#1 Best Overall
- ADVANCED HALL EFFECT CONTROL FOR COMPETITIVE FPS: Rapid Trigger enables instant 0.1mm reset for rapid taps and faster reactions. Expand your control with Multi-Action, Smart Tap and Tap Lock, giving you consistent execution, reduced finger fatigue and streamlined play
- PRECISE SOCD MOVEMENT AND ULTRA-FAST 8000Hz INPUT: FlashTap SOCD enables cleaner directional inputs and sharper counter-strafing, while CORSAIR AXON hyper-processing delivers up to 8000Hz polling for near-instant input registration. Ensuring every movement and shot lands exactly when you need it
- ULTRA-FAST MGX HYPERDRIVE CORE HALL EFFECT SWITCHES: Linear, fast-actuating switches with adjustable 0.2-3.8mm actuation, zero drift, and 100M keystroke durability for consistently competitive performance under pressure
- IP57-RATED DURABILITY FOR LONG SESSIONS*: Built to handle intense gameplay with water and dust resistance, plus durable PBT double-shot keycaps that resist wear through extended FPS sessions *Allow 72 hours to fully dry after submersion; drying time may vary
- COMPACT 60% US QWERTY FOR FPS SETUPS: Maximize mouse space for low-sensitivity aiming with a space-saving layout, while dual-layer sound dampening keeps keystrokes quieter and distraction-free
- Adjustable actuation from 0.2–3.8 mm, with 0.1 mm sensitivity.
- 27–40 g actuation force and 4 mm total key travel.
- A stated lifespan of 100 million keystrokes.
- Up to 8,000 Hz report rate.
- 8 MB onboard memory and five onboard profiles.
- Full-key rollover, per-key RGB lighting, and a detachable braided USB-C cable.
- A two-year warranty.
CORSAIR also advertises IP57 water and dust resistance. That is the manufacturer’s rating claim, not a reason to treat the keyboard as waterproof or safe to submerge; consult the product manual for handling and cleaning guidance. No independent standardized validation of the report-rate, lifespan, or IP57 claims is established here.
What the magnetic-switch controls do
CORSAIR lists Rapid Trigger, Multi-Action, Smart Tap, Tap Lock, and FlashTap SOCD. These features change how a keypress or a combination of inputs is interpreted; whether they help depends on the game, setup, and player.

- Adjustable actuation: Set how far a key must travel before an input registers, within CORSAIR’s published 0.2–3.8 mm range.
- Rapid Trigger: CORSAIR describes this as changing re-actuation behavior as a key is released. It is intended to make repeated inputs respond to key movement rather than a fixed reset point.
- Multi-Action: Assign different actions at half-press, full-press, half-release, and full-release points, according to CORSAIR’s feature description.
- Smart Tap: Assign different actions to a quick tap and a long hold on the same key. CORSAIR says, “Smart Tap assigns different actions for quick taps vs long holds on the same key.” This may help fit an extra control into a compact layout, but requires a setup that suits the game and the player.
- Tap Lock: Toggle an action that would otherwise require holding a key.
- FlashTap SOCD: Configure how the keyboard handles simultaneous opposing directional inputs.
What the hands-on review found
GamesRadar+ says its reviewer used the keyboard for two weeks for daily gaming and work. The reviewer primarily played Doom: The Dark Ages, High on Life 2, and Planet Coaster 2, and also tested it specifically in CS2 and Apex Legends. The review included three one-minute TypingTest.com tests. These are the outlet’s test conditions and observations, not tests conducted for this article. GamesRadar+ review

The reviewer found the switches light and fast, liked the customization, and viewed Smart Tap as a practical way to make some controls accessible despite the reduced key count. The review also flags the 60% layout as a constraint for people who need more dedicated keys and notes a caveat about the spacebar’s sound and feel. Those are subjective impressions from that reviewer, not universal outcomes.

The GamesRadar+ headline includes “5.9 ms,” but the available context does not establish exactly what that figure measures. It should not be read as a general latency result without examining the review’s measurement method and conditions.
