CORSAIR announced the HX1000i SHIFT CRYSTAL in its Computex 2026 lineup: a 1000W ATX power supply with side-mounted connections and polycarbonate windows on three sides. It combines features CORSAIR associates with its HXi and SHIFT lines, plus an integrated iCUE LINK System Hub. The announcement lists specifications but does not confirm a retail date, price, or regional availability.

What is the HX1000i SHIFT CRYSTAL?

It is a CORSAIR 1000W ATX power supply designed to make its internal components visible through three polycarbonate windowed sides. Its connectors are mounted on the side, a layout associated with CORSAIR’s SHIFT products. CORSAIR says the design combines the SHIFT-style connector arrangement with components from its HXi PSU line. The company says a prototype appeared at Computex 2025; the product was announced in CORSAIR’s Computex 2026 lineup.

The transparent case is the most visible distinction, but the PSU also includes an integrated iCUE LINK System Hub and software control. CORSAIR’s product explainer and June 2, 2026 newsroom announcement describe the product. These are manufacturer statements, not independent test results.

The figures and capabilities in this table come from CORSAIR’s published product information; they are not independent measurements of efficiency, noise, reliability, or performance. The hub’s stated support for up to 24 devices does not establish compatibility with every device or configuration, so check the relevant documentation.

#1 Best Overall
CORSAIR HX1000i Shift Fully Modular ATX Power Supply – Built-in iCUE Link System Hub, Native 12V-2x6 Cable, ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1, Side-Mounted Connectors, Cybenetics Platinum – Black
  • Integrated iCUE LINK System Hub – The first power supply with an embedded iCUE LINK System Hub makes it easier than ever before to configure an iCUE LINK cooling system. You can attach iCUE LINK devices directly to the power supply, which can control and synchronize a total of 24 devices
  • Less Cables – Previously you had to mount the iCUE LINK System Hub inside your case and route power to it from the PSU with a PCIe cable, but that’s no longer necessary. You can now run everything directly off the PSU so it’s easier to build with, and uses less cables for a cleaner interior
  • Native 12V-2x6 Cable – No adapters are required to use the newest Nvidia RTX 50-series GPUs as well as older 40-series cards
  • Cybenetics Platinum Efficiency – Up to 91% overall efficiency for exceptional low power consumption, less noise, and cooler temperatures.
  • Innovative Side-Mounted SHIFT Connectors: Fully-modular connections on the side of the PSU mean easier access to the connectors and simpler, cleaner cable management

What the listed features mean for a build

Side-mounted connectors and visible internals

The side connector layout may make cable routing more convenient in a compatible case, but it makes case clearance and access to the PSU’s connector side important. The windows make the PSU itself part of the visible build, while the white PCB, color-matched components, and RGB fan described in CORSAIR’s Computex roundup reinforce that presentation. Confirm the case layout and clearance using final product documentation before buying.

GPU connector and power capacity

CORSAIR lists one native 12V-2×6 connector and a 1000W rating. Whether that is appropriate depends on the full system and its actual power requirements, not just the graphics card connector. Check the GPU and other component requirements, and verify the exact cable and connector arrangement in the final PSU documentation.

CORSAIR RM1000x Shift ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 Ready 1000W Power Supply – Black
  • Innovative Easy-Access Connection Position: Modular connections on the side of the PSU mean easier access for your cables and simpler, cleaner cable management
  • Native 12V-2x6 GPU Cable: Easily power modern graphics cards such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series
  • Fully Modular Connectors: CORSAIR Type-5 PSU cables are smaller, giving you plenty of room to route your cables, while their modularity ensures you only connect what your system needs
  • Debossed PVC Cable Kit: Ultra flexible cable kit sets a new standard for cable management, with included low-profile combs making for a neater look and easier overall build
  • 140mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan: Utilizes a specially calculated fan curve for high performance, low noise, and superior reliability

Fan behavior, software, and iCUE LINK

Zero RPM mode means the fan can stop under supported operating conditions; the announcement does not provide independent acoustic measurements or specify noise levels. CORSAIR lists iCUE control for fan speed and power monitoring and a choice between single- and multi-rail overcurrent protection. The integrated iCUE LINK hub can reduce the need for a separate hub in compatible setups, but device support and configuration limits should be checked before planning a build around it.

What is not confirmed yet?

CORSAIR’s announcement and product explainer do not establish a retail release date, price, or current availability in any region. They also do not provide independent performance testing, acoustic measurements, failure-rate data, or a system-specific power recommendation. Cybenetics Platinum is a listed certification; it should not be treated as a substitute for a complete independent review of noise, thermals, or real-world performance.

What to check before choosing it

  • Compare the PSU’s 1000W capacity with the requirements of the complete system.
  • Check case fit, PSU dimensions, side clearance, and whether the connectors remain accessible after installation. Dimensions are not stated in the cited product information.
  • Confirm GPU connector needs and the supplied cable arrangement, including compatibility with the intended components.
  • Verify modular cable compatibility rather than assuming cables from another PSU will work.
  • Consider whether you want iCUE monitoring and an integrated iCUE LINK hub, and confirm that your devices are supported.
  • Compare independent noise and performance testing, and check current regional price and stock once a retail listing is available.
