In Control Resonant, find the Mysterious Dog at the “DOG” map marker on a rooftop terrace in southwestern Downtown. Talk to her, retrieve the plush from a nearby roof, then place it by her bed and interact with her again to trigger the side-story notification.
Where to find the Mysterious Dog in Downtown
Open the Downtown map and look for the “DOG” marker, also described as “Location of the Mysterious Dog.” It leads to a rooftop terrace in the southwestern part of Downtown, where the dog is beside her bed and outdoor furniture. NerdsChalk’s Downtown walkthrough identifies this rooftop location.
How to retrieve and return the plush
- Speak to the dog. Interact with her by the bed. The conversation indicates that she wants a toy.
- Search the neighboring rooftops. The plush is on a nearby roof, described by one guide as west of the dog’s rooftop. Since walkthroughs differ on its exact direction and color, use the DOG marker to orient yourself and check the connected roofs rather than relying on a compass direction. - Pick up the plush and bring it back. Return to the terrace and use the drop-object interaction at the dog’s bed.
- Interact with the dog again. After you place the toy, talk to her once more. The quest notification should appear; check the Side Stories section of the Quest Log.
What the plush looks like
The title of one walkthrough calls it a green plush, while other guide descriptions identify a blue or teal dragon. The sources do not agree on its color, so the nearby-rooftop location and the dog’s request are more reliable cues than a particular color description.

Which quest does this unlock?
The Downtown encounter is associated with the side story “Notes: Every Dog Has Her Day.” PowerPyx’s dog-location walkthrough covers that broader side-story thread. Other guides describe additional dog encounters and a later interaction in The Gap, but those are separate from the steps needed to trigger the Downtown notification.
