In Control Resonant, the Cat Picnic is a Central-zone drawing puzzle: find the Cat Picnic marker and checkered blanket, move the three indicated props onto the blanket to match the in-game layout, then use Draw. Landmark descriptions and written prop lists vary between guides, so use the marker and visual reference as your guide.
Where to find the Cat Picnic
The puzzle is in Central, but published guides describe its position differently: one places it on a lawn along the right-hand stretch of the Field Office area, another in a lower courtyard south of the Factory and Dig Site Threshold, and another on the upper-right side of the Field Office area. Those landmarks do not establish one reliable route. Look for the Cat Picnic activity marker and checkered blanket; approaching or walking onto the blanket starts the activity and its dialogue, according to the guides. How to place the picnic objects
- Approach the blanket and inspect the reference layout shown by the game.
- Move the three nearby props onto the blanket, matching their positions to that layout.
- Use the visual reference rather than relying on a written list of object names. Guides disagree about the props: lists include a basket, carton, teapot, drink bottle, lucky cat statue, cat food carton, and metal bowl. The text descriptions do not resolve which three names are correct for every account of the puzzle.
The puzzle’s consistent requirement is to arrange three loose props on the blanket to match the displayed scene. If a written prop name seems not to fit what you see, follow the in-game reference image instead. See the AllThingsHow guide for its account of the object placement.

How to finish the sketch
After arranging all three props, activate or hold the Draw prompt. The exact input can depend on your platform and control settings. Let Dylan complete the sketch; the guides describe this as painting or drawing the arranged scene.

What reward does Cat Picnic give?
Guides report a Cat Picnic sketch, portrait, or Sketchbook page being added to Dylan’s collection. One guide also mentions an Undefined Reading, but that additional reward is not corroborated by the other cited accounts. Check the in-game reward notification to see what your playthrough awards.
