Contact Form v20 is a free HTML/CSS web template from Colorlib: a basic contact form displayed over a Google Maps background. It is a design starting point, not a hosted contact service, and the available description does not establish that its download is configured to deliver messages. Before using it, check the license, inspect the current files, and arrange form handling separately if needed.
What Contact Form v20 is
Colorlib describes Contact Form v20 as a basic contact form over a Google Maps background. Its category roundup classifies the template among designs built with HTML5 and CSS3. That makes it a front-end template to adapt for a website—not a physical product or a ready-made hosted contact service.
The design can provide a visual starting point, but it does not by itself establish how a submitted message is validated, stored, or delivered. The current download’s exact files and behavior are not documented in the cited description, so inspect the package and demo you intend to use rather than assuming they include a working submission flow.
What Colorlib lists on the template page
- Author: Colorlib.
- Displayed release: April 2026.
- License: CC BY 3.0.
The page also shows an article date of April 21, 2018. It does not explain how that date relates to the displayed April 2026 release field, so treat them as separate pieces of page metadata rather than assuming one updates or corrects the other. Review the license terms and attribution requirements for your intended reuse; the listing alone does not determine whether a particular use complies.

Responsive behavior is a publisher claim to verify
Colorlib says the layout is intended to work across different screen sizes and devices. That is the publisher’s description, not an independent test result. Preview the actual version you download at narrow mobile widths, tablet sizes, and desktop widths. Check that the form remains readable and usable, that the map background does not obscure content, and that controls can be reached and operated on touchscreens and with a keyboard.
How to make the form send email
A form that looks complete may still have no message-delivery mechanism. Colorlib’s contact-form roundup names Formspree, PHP mail, Nodemailer, and SendGrid as general ways to handle form-to-email submissions. The roundup does not confirm that any of them is already connected to Contact Form v20 or guaranteed to work with its current download.

- Inspect the downloaded files. Look for the form’s action and method, any JavaScript that intercepts submission, and any server-side endpoint. Do not treat a success message or browser-side validation as proof that a message was sent.
- Choose a submission handler. Use a hosted form endpoint or a backend you control. The named approaches in Colorlib’s roundup are options to investigate, not built-in integrations.
- Connect and secure the form. Configure the endpoint to accept the intended fields, validate input on the server, and handle abuse appropriately. Keep credentials and provider secrets out of browser-visible code.
- Test the complete path. Submit valid and invalid entries, then confirm that messages arrive at the intended destination. Check failure behavior as well as the success state before publishing.
What to check before putting it on a site
- Read the CC BY 3.0 terms and provide any attribution required for your use.
- Inspect the current package for its actual dependencies, fields, scripts, and any submission endpoint.
- Test the layout and form controls across the screen sizes and input methods your visitors use.
- Check accessibility, including labels, keyboard operation, focus visibility, and understandable error messages; the available template description does not establish conformance.
- Verify that the form delivers submissions through a configured handler, with server-side validation and a clear failure path.
